mouser, in the version 1.15.02, the exe has been renamed to DcUppdater.exe. is this intentional?

yes, i use Farr's folder search for something like that too since most of my programs are the portable type with no installers nor start menu junk.. :) thanks again for the info, justice.. i might find some use out of FolderScout, just like with Locate32 earlier..

What's the shortcut to quickly jump to the search box and select a search engine in FireFox?
-taichimaster (July 07, 2007, 01:09 PM)

i'm not using Firefox right now but i think it's Ctrl+K to focus on the search box & Ctrl+Up or Ctrl+Down to move up and down the search engines.. :)

i also tried ALZip for some time and while it was impressive, i couldn't tear away from WinRAR - more of a habit rather partisanism.. :)
4839
aye, the makeover is fantastic! i found myself scrolling up & down to view the differences.. :) on another note, i too am using K-meleon on a P3 with 256MB RAM and it is not as resource hungry as say, Firefox..

if i just paste or key-in the folder path (without the filename), it works fine but when i'm browsing the images, then only this error pops-up - "The parameter is incorrect" (see my screenshot on top). of course, if filename is included, then the error that Nighted mentioned appears.. :)

I hearby offer a prize to anyone who can now find a search on this forum that misses a result it should return.
which begets the question: what is the prize? :) btw, good job, WordZilla.. now to undo the habit of searching from Fx's search plugins..

good work, App.. Snailware is a subject very pertinent to me as I had to support some folks with quite dated machines.. :) i'll dig up my <what's the metaphor for hard-disk?> to see if i can recommend some goodies that can run on oldies..

less than a couple of hours left.. :)

The New7Wonders Foundation calls on all citizens of the world to support it.  Through film, television, the Internet and books, people shall be alerted to the destruction of nature and the decay of our man-made heritage. Monuments in jeopardy, perhaps in a dangerous state of decay, can be saved by publicizing their beauty and highlighting their plight to the international community.

okay, i've uploaded the compiled EXE and btw, i suck at icons so those who are graphically-inclined feel free to add their own icons.. :)

Nod5: thanks for the tip, the systray icon is useful but WinXP always hides them and as App mentioned, it's easy to miss out.. :)

thanks for replying, tranglos.. here's the details: i'm using WinXP (SP2) with Firefox as default browser. The url is launched correctly even though the error message appears and i have also tried several combinations - changing the default browser and toggling the "Always default" button. But in short, it's cosmetic no functionality is affected. :)
