From a book store signing. And don't blame the messenger when you get it!-wraith808 (June 26, 2014, 01:28 PM)
I don't get it. Is it Libba Brary? Or is the Butcher Skin Game the joke?-Deozaan (June 26, 2014, 05:51 PM)

But, I'm just dreaming... It would be entertaining to see though!-Renegade (June 25, 2014, 07:44 PM)
My complaint is that the flash sales on GOG end at weird times. I saw something on sale the other day, it looked interesting from the "box" art, but I'd never heard of it so I watched the trailer for it and was convinced that I should buy it. When I added it to my cart, the sale had ended. This was at something like 20-25 minutes after the hour. I would have expected a sale to end on the hour, or at least in half-hour intervals. Not at 6:22 (for example).
That really annoyed me.-Deozaan (June 25, 2014, 03:43 PM)
There is an animated gif attached to that post, with a special spaghetti fork.-app103 (June 25, 2014, 02:30 PM)

Looks like something you'd find sold through an infomercial.-app103 (June 25, 2014, 12:18 PM)

I think there was perhaps a bit too much flash in their flash sale. The free offers were on for such a short time that I didn't manage to pick any of them up.
Edit: reading the previous posts after posting, this should just have been a +1 instead.

But when I went to check out, that first item was off sale and showing up in the cart at its regular price.-40hz (June 25, 2014, 06:31 AM)
So at this point, about the only doable short-term semi-solution is to light a fire under these bigger players.-40hz (June 24, 2014, 07:04 PM)
Well, yes ... But that's a really short list as I understand it...Just Nazis, smokers, and (I think) people that don't recycle ... Right?-Stoic Joker (June 25, 2014, 06:37 AM)

You're on the list for at least a half dozen reasons!

So right now, I think the FCC did as much as they could by focusing awareness and drawing attention to where the problem is - and more importantly, who is responsible. If there is sufficient public outcry, it will eventually force our government to do something more concrete. And hopefully address the root of the problem. But until then, don't hold your breath. There's a lot of telco lobby money leaning on Congress and the Senate. And the Congress and the Senate are leaning on the FCC as a result. And it is an election year...-40hz (June 24, 2014, 06:13 PM)
All this reg is doing is making it obvious where the delays in getting an actual connection are occurring. It's also a safety issue. Suppose you were checking up on an ageing parent and you worried something bad had happened because nobody answered the phone, not knowing the call never reached them because it was hung up in your wireless carrier’s inadequate and under-provisioned network.-40hz (June 24, 2014, 02:12 PM)
