@skrommel:
On your page, 'DropCommand' has wrongly been named "RunToClose" (the second one).

I have now tried to place it in Start, change the settings, and re-boot. The 'enable' was remembered, the 'disable' was remembered but did not work.

I have of course no idea about WHY.

I believe HotSpot was written for Windows 2000, and not even updated for XP? Edited: However, it is doing fine on my Vista!! Edited2: But of course, I only used the default setting, and the problem was not the default. Sorry!

Playlist Creator ... doesn't tell the accumulated play-time, 'duration'.
Curt, have you thought about emailing the author and requesting that feature?
... I took your advice  and wrote the author.

The author didn't answer me, but now the next version has been launched, and the requested "always show total playtime"-feature has not yet been implemented.

I didn't like the free J. River 12, so I am still looking for a playlist editor ;-)

- ouch, ashwken, ouch! You know, sometimes....:

Within the last couple of weeks I have deleted 2.300 album playlists, each placed inside the respective album's folder, each list's content sorted per track number, - because I hated them!

Well, well.

Sorry I can't help  you on this. I didn't create these playlists; my (commercial) music supplier did.

or you could ask a couple of friends to act models, and take their pictures, for each 'scene', and click a software program's button. End of story-animation. Ehh... you do have a camera and some friends?   8)

Just installed Typing Assistant, but almost immediately got disappointed:
- you need to first do the settings. The default setting is "auto-learn", and you have *not* yet learned it anything.

So far I have Typing Assistant placed in Start because I want to test it. The first impressing is good, better than with version 4, but it really is important to play around with those settings. Otherwise the sheer amount of pop-ups will drive anyone crazy.

With this said, I am wondering IF I will want to keep TA in Start? I do have better programs for most of the same features, but this one feature I've headlined is very fast to use.

About Ditto and others. Typing Assistant is not meant to replace the clipboard, only to the extend the use of it. ____ These are my clipboards:

- how often must we hear this song?

"today" is (was) Sunday 1'st of November 2009. The giveaway is the new Typing Assistant version 5. The feature is a hot-key (Alt+RightArrow) activated pop-up showing you the latest entry to your clipboard. Why may you be wanting this feature? Because it is by far the easiest way I have come across, to copy two or more words and put them together to become a new filename, when saving a picture or something. Example: You see a nice picture showing a maltesian beach. You have, say, 3 informations about the pic but they are not written in a way that you merely can mark and copy in one go. Now copy the 3 scattered informations, say, "Nice View", "Malta Beach", and "Photo by Smartman", and save the picture. When Windows asks for the a file-name, merely hit Alt+RightArrow, and Enter one by one! Most clipboards will clear such a text field, when you paste a new text into it, but TA will merely add  and does not replace what was already there.

In many ways Typing Assistant is a pain in the aß$, because of unwanted pop-ups, so you will have to do some settings, to live with it. Edited: But you can de/activate the program with a simple hotkey, F11, which can be changed. And it is FREE today Sunday. Otherwise this new fine version 5.0 is $35

I guess you forgot to first do the meditation?

 :P

I feel with you, tranglos; it is such a sad experience when a hero falls to low levels.

I don't know who've written MAGIX PC Check & Tuning 2010, but I cannot think it was written in-house. All I want to say is, that before I tried this disastrous program, my Vista was sluggish but stable, but after ten minutes with the MAGIX "tuner", I have had approx TWENTY blue screens within 3 weeks!! In general, MAGIX is a hero of mine; they are the authors of Xara Xtreme, and others, but this chocking experience has taught my something about the difference between coders and merchants! ... Of course you know if TuneUp was sold to Avanquest or someone, so it no longer was owned by a coder but by a merchant?

4623
and then comes the fourty dollar question; which is the better BackUp for my 32-bits Vista, the version 9 PRO, or the FREE version 10??

The entire bundle is on sale at Bits du Jour & daily-deals on the 3'rd of November
Listed price: $89
on offer for: $49

http://daily-deals.i...ord-compiler-bundle/

I think one of the top crossword programs for Windows is Crossword Compiler. It weighs in at $30, but from the sound of its homepage it might be worth it:
You can use Crossword Compiler to increase vocabulary, reinforce facts, or just have some fun by using your own list of words to generate your puzzles. A handy Puzzle Wizard steps you through choosing the type of puzzle, the size, and the words that will be used.

You'll be absolutely amazed by the variety of puzzles that you can create with Crossword Compiler. The program supports cryptic, quick, American, freeform/vocabulary, shaped, word search, sudoku, clues-in-squares, barred and coded puzzles.
