I believe that the TF101 has ICS (4.0) available for it now. You may not want to get the TF201. There have been widespread reports of the unibody design interfering with its ability to get steady wireless and GPS connections.

YMMV with the TF201.

I'm looking forward to the next Transformer, but I'm not sure what they're calling it right now. TF700? TF300?

I think I've seen that image now in three separate threads on this site alone.

Sort of like the taped together iPhones when the iPad came out.

I don't recall ever seeing that one, actually. ;D

The game looks really good. I played the beta a little bit. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting it, but right now even the 4-pack price is out of my budget. :(

C sharp games with dx or ms game dev studio released games? Hell lot of time to port them. In fact these are the games that will take more time to get there.

And most of the existing library will probably not be ported at all.

Distro difference is not serious because package building hardly takes few minutes to hours. So if we assume they release steam for ubuntu then it will run on debian and all the chiId distros of it. Only thing will be about porting to non-debian distros which is not hard to setup as another community project on other distros.

I think you're missing an important point:

There's a big difference between running the Steam client on Linux and running Steam games on Linux.

Though a natural consequence of porting the Steam client to Linux will be more developers porting their games to Linux, that won't change the fact that almost the entire Steam library of games have no Linux port, and therefore would be unplayable on Linux even if you could run the Steam client on Linux.

That chart isn't entirely accurate about Dropbox. You can actually earn quite a bit of permanent free space from things such as referrals and uploading your photos/videos from your mobile device to your account.

I have never paid a penny to Dropbox and I have 17GB of storage on my free tier account.

1 TB for $49.99 is a steal.

$50/mo is a steal for 1 TB? At that price I could buy about six 2 TB hard drives per year. At the end of a year I'd have 12 TB of storage space for the same price.

You're right it's a steal. But who is stealing from whom? :-\

Although I am not sure why people were so outraged, it happens to me all the time that a bundle comes out that offers a game cheaper than I bought it, and before I have played it. Especially on games I preordered out of curiosity or a desire to support the devs, without thinking of when they will come out and whether I'll have time to play.

I feel silly but I feel it is a normal thing that happens

I think the difference is that this occurred on launch day. People who pre-ordered had a reasonable assumption that anybody who bought the game on launch day would pay the same price.

If I buy something for $20 but then don't play and six month later it's on sale for $5 then that's my fault and to be expected. But if I pre-order a product for $20 and found out that others who didn't pre-order got it (or could get it) for $0.01 with MORE goodies than my $20 pre-order, on launch day, I'd definitely be upset.

Thanks for the mini-review.

But why not use AdBlock Plus for Chrome from the folks at AdBlockPlus.org? (The ones who make it for Firefox.)

i know about that feature, but Gdocs emphasises on documents but Dropbox is more on general storage. that is why i like it even more in Dropbox because my sharing is not limited to documents.. :)

Well now that Google Docs is (part of?) Google Drive, it's no longer emphasizing documents but general storage. Just like Dropbox.

The desktop app is bare bones, it didn't ask me for an install location (as usual)

It didn't ask me where to install it, but it did ask me where to put the folder it would synchronize.

There's a story out there that the TOS allows Google to basically fold, spindle, and mutilate your data, far beyond what dropbox and MS say "only use the data for providing the service."

Jibz is exactly right, and there was actually some commotion about Dropbox back in the day for having a similar TOS. A lot of people are making a big deal out of the sentence or two that talk about Google requiring you to give them a license to your stuff, but comparatively few people seem to be mentioning the part where it says you retain ownership of all your stuff.

hmm.. by the time it's activated for me, it'll be a case of too little too late..

It seems that with the release of Google Drive they've also increased Gmail storage space to 10 GB.

and Dropbox ups the ante!

• Share your stuff with a link! http://blog.dropbox.com/?p=1138

So now you don't have to put stuff in the public folder to share it with people? Cool!

That's it? Is that really such a big deal?

I don't think it's a big deal, but I think it's a useful feature.

Though there's a pretty good argument against it:

Nice feature for individual users - but a privacy nightmare for Dropbox Teams!!

Imagine a group doing joint work in a closed group which is shared through Dropbox. Some group member wants to share (in good faith) with another person and sends him a public link. The other person thinks "wow, interesting" and shares (in good faith), say, on his Facebook page. Suddenly, privacy of a whole team is compromised without the team even knowing about it!! Unlike adding a new member to the Shared Folder, group members have no means to know that some group member has shared group-confidential stuff with the rest of the world!!

To me this is a major disaster and show stopper for using Dropbox for team work

Second scenario: Some person decides (or is politely asked) to leave a Dropbox team. He/she may of course keep the stuff elaborated jointly so far. Before the guy leaves the shared folder he "gets a link" - which allows him "eternal" read access to this folder, including all future additions to it, without being a group member anymore.

This is like installing a bugging device on a shared folder ==> Show stopper for Dropbox-based team work.

Do I need to give more examples?

Please add a feature to turn off public link generation for any given shared folder by the folder owner. To promote trust, this attribute should also be viewable by all subscribers to this public folder.

I know that people can always "steal" and publish stuff that should stay private. But the "get link" feature as it is implemented right now just makes it too easy to do it even unintentionally!

More games were made last weekend than are available in the Steam catalog!

Also, someone made a wallpaper with images of all 1402 games:

Get one in your preferred resolution here: http://www.ludumdare...all-1402-ld23-games/

Mine is at (7,10) if you think of the top left image as (1,1).
