System Explorer is available in three major versions. Version 2.0 has brand new interface and it's compatible with Windows 7. Many features were improved and bugfixed. Version 1.5 has "Task Manager" interface and works good on Windows XP/Windows Vista. Version 1.4 works on Windows 2000. Version 1.5 and 1.4 are no longer supported and maintained.
System Explorer is available in two major distributions. Installer version contains installer wizard which help you to easy install and setup the System Explorer on your system. Second distribution is Portable, which is one zip file containing all necessary files. Portable version can be extracted to any directory, flash disk, burn to CD/DVD. Portable version runs in special mode and do not make any footprints to operating system (by default).
I'm not sure what the obsession is with speed, though. I'll gladly give up a second or so in launch time for the sheer humongous amount of tweaking/tuning options KMPlayer gives me.No you wouldn't!-Innuendo (December 09, 2009, 11:15 PM)

Superboyac: What do you want to configure in Splayer that you can't do?Mouse button customization. Most of these programs have options to assign functions to left-mouse, right-mouse buttons.
