f0dder, try this ahk script: Auto-switch Locale.. :) the script will switch to English keyboard layout whenever certain programs are active.. Start the program once then you can edit the ini file to add more programs - partial windows title will do and also class names in this format: ahk_class <class name>.

btw, i'm not sure how your system is set-up.. so i've configured mine like this (see pic below) and with the assumption that Danish is the default language..

ws-keybd-switcher-2.png

to use with different languages, edit the INI file and add the layout codes in this format: 00000xxx where xxx is the locale code. here are some examples:
00000409
00000401
00000403
00000406
00000407
00000408
0000040B
0000040C
00000410
00000416
00000814
0000040A
English - United States
Arabic - Saudi Arabia
Catalan - Spain
Danish - Denmark
German - Germany
Greek
Finnish - Finland
French - France
Italian - Italy
Portuguese - Brazil
Norwegian – Norway (Nynorsk)
Spanish - Spain (International Sort)

Edit: added the AHK source and Windows locale table.
Edit2: added the recompiled exe (without upx) to avoid false alarms [related thread].

yes, it's very handy if you do a lot of presentations. it will insert a nifty toolbar inside your PowerPoint that allows you to convert your PPTs to Flash.. :)

btw, this is the 2nd time it's featured on GAOTD. i got mine from the earlier giveaway and it was worth the while..

mouser, i also have another crazy idea.. how about going through the Coding Snacks board and take out all the finished articles and index on a web-page by the program's name & description? then new users can be asked to look at the page 1st to see if their requests had already been done.

and also all coding snacks can have a uniform banner or about box to give them some sort of identification.. something like "this came out of DC coding snacks".. for one of the coding snacks, i had requested nudone for a custom Cody pic like the one below, this can be a template of sorts..

Living Room / Barbie Doll Electric Chair Science Fair Project!
« Last post by lanux128 on September 06, 2007, 09:16 PM »
cool science project but not for Barbie lovers, though.. :)

This is a science fair project that I did in middle school and completely disgusted the entire female staff of Benton Middle. The purpose of this project is to show how the electric chair works and discuss basic electricity - currents and conductivity.

This is perhaps not the most politically correct science fair project, but it definitely gets attention. And although it is more based on presentation than science, most people find it very interesting to learn how an electric chair works.

if all updates were to come via Microsoft, you'll be stuck like this.. thankfully, there are other ways of getting off-line updates except for certain hot-fixes but i will not list them here, lest they too get picked up by a mainstream news website..

just a small update.. there is a known problem where upon installing WinXP SP2, the CPU usage maxes out at 100%. probably it's not related to me as mine is an Abit motherboard related problem but i was curious to try it out.

so as per instruction, i requested for this hot-fix by giving them my email but it has been like 3 days and i've yet receive any reply.. :o even though, there was a notice saying: "A Microsoft Professional will respond to you via e-mail within 8 business hours."

i think any compatibility with Office2007 will depend on luck, since the Office dev team do not conform standard gui implementation - this is an on-going problem..
4549
what mouser meant was using an existing image hosting site's tools to upload to their respective sites such as Imageshack's QuickLoad.

btw, you can also use jgpaiva's FTP Uploader.
