Living Room / Re: about to switch to a Widescreen LCD.

I'm using an Acer X191W 19" wide screen (and a 19" envision crt dual view, bcuz dual view rox), and it works perfectly inside and outside of games. I also like how I can watch wide screen movies with it.

If I had my own car then I would put something on it, but until I get a car, I can't do anything like that. the most I could do is put something on my website.

I do something similar to that, I use the right side of my second monitor and put all my icons into organized folders, and then I dock those folders to the side of my second monitor.

lol, deozaan. I don't think wiping your hands on the toilet seat would help much, the little cleaning brush beside the toilet works much better, and you even get a nice smelly after effect that reminds you to do it again the next time you sneeze.

I may be missing something here, but can't you put all the pictures into one folder, and then put that folder inside a zip file, and then just email that?

General Software Discussion / Re: Does anyone know of a program that does this?

While I was waiting for a reply, I did a little more searching, and ran across cool desk. I found that it does what I am wanting, and I have it set up right now, so I will download dexpot and put it on a different computer and see how it works.

edit:ok, I might have to use dexpot, because cool desk doesn't seem to want to open anymore.
edit2:ok, I have tried two programs, cool desk, and chirima virtual desk pro(something like that, I don't keep up with names of programs I don't like).
Both of those programs stunk. Instead of trying a third program, I have just decided to go a different route.
I put all my desktop icons into organized folders, and then dragged them to the side of the desktop to turn them into toolbars. It looks like that is going to be my new choice.

General Software Discussion / Does anyone know of a program that does this?
« Last post by nite_monkey on February 06, 2008, 03:57 PM »
I'm looking for a virtual desktop program. No not just any old VD program, this one needs some features.
1.I want to be able to label each desktop.
2.(The major thing)I want to be able to put DIFFERENT icons on each desktop.

So for example I could label one of the desktops, games, and put all my game icons on that desktop.
I've seen several virtual desktop programs, but none of them let you put different icons on each desktop (none that I have found), and there are some that let you put a different background for each desktop, that isn't needed for me, but I wont reject the program if it does let you do that.
If I can't find a program that does this, then I might have to clutter up my second monitor with toolbars for each icon group.

I'm very thin, and don't engage in any "risky" behavior (i.e. tobacco or alcohol use, etc.) and I'm definitely not healthy. It's a weird kind of stigma--people think that if you're not fat you must be "in shape" when the truth is that I get winded pretty easily too doing exercise.
I agree, it doesn't matter if you are skinny, you can still be out of shape. I am not fat, and I also can get winded when doing exercise.

There are about 3,235,680 germs on your keyboard right now!
That's equivalent to the number of germs on 647 toilet seats.

Which really isn't that bad, because toilet seats are the cleanest place in your house (watch Mythbusters if you don't believe me)

Here you go,Go Crazy. I downloaded all the swf files that mhb listed, and put them in a folder, and then zipped that folder up, and put it on filebeam, so you can download it and play ADvsFG. Now Excuse me while I go play it.

I've never used teh sharing folder, so I wasn't going to mention that, but if both of you use windows live messenger, then you can upload your files to that drop.io site, and then put the link in an offline message that the other person will get when they login to msn.

I don't own one, but Darren from hak5 owns one, and he has had pretty good results from it. he formated it, and put windows on it, and then installed some games on it, and said they worked pretty good with the specs that the eee pc has.

nite-monkey - why do you have a picture of Adam Savage as your avatar?! Of course, you might ask why I have a picture of Amud 1 for mine... Just curious because I'd always assumed it was your picture, until I noticed the ^Adam Savage (not me)^ qualifier under it!
I had a picture of Adam Savage because Mythbusters if my favorite tv show, and Adam is my favorite star on the show

« Last post by nite_monkey on December 13, 2007, 04:43 PM »
I just tested it, and I don't know if it was just me or what, but the transfer was very slow.
I started the upload from FF, and downloaded it with IE, on the same computer, and it would take about 30 min.
The file was like 30 megs, and I am using cable. I downloaded the file from the original server in less then 30 min.

I've been trying to learn how to make a gui with autohotkey, and I kind of learned how, and so I made a program that I have been wanting for a while.
I am still not that great at autohotkey programming, so it isn't super awesome, but it's a start.

I call it Simple Edit. This is a simple text editor.
You have an edit box and a save button, and that is all. There isn't any super hard to use controls. You just create or open a file, edit it, and then save it.

download it here

That sounds like a useful tool. I will have to download that and use it once I learn AHK scripting more.
