...and as regards the "history/memory", do you mean referring to a particular line, like "line 3"? ...
No, what I meant by 'history' is that a session would automatically be saved upon exit.  I do see that you already have a "Save" function, which is nice, but I often don't think I'll need to re-visit a calculation when, later, I then do.    For example yesterday I calculate 2+2, but don't think I need to save it.  Then, sure enough, today I run in to 2+2 again, or worse, I can't even remember what the two numbers were that I had needed to sum.  It would be nice if OC saved those in memory, then I could just activate the "Show history" command and it would show me.  I guess there'd need to be an option to tell OC how many days to keep history items before purging them.  Otherwise you'd get hundreds accumulated, slowing down performance.  Also, (my thinking is) as long as the data was saved at exit, it could be pulled off of disk by OC when needed.  Therefore it wouldn't need to affect startup performance (i.e. it wouldn't get automatically loaded into RAM).

Also, RE that 'Saturation/Tint' slider:  I see what you mean about it working as both "Saturation" and to change color...    Pretty cool implementation!

OpalCalc is AWESOME!  I registered it a few weeks ago after using the free version for a long time  (years?)
Mostly I can only say good things about it.  It works the way my brain thinks.  I guess the only feature that I'd really like to see is a history/memory of previous calculations.  This should only be implemented if you can do it without causing a performance lag, though.

Another "what if" idea I had was to implement a "workday" function.  The idea would be to have an .ini file of holiday dates in the program folder.  Then you could have a function like in spreadsheets.  =WORKDAY()  Would be cool.  In truth, I probably wouldn't use it often.  I would use a history function though  :)

EDIT:  I just installed the newest version, and yes, it is faster!  I like the new Volcano skin.  I think that we can all agree it looks awesome with the Jupiter skin I have going http://i.imgur.com/7zvzP.jpg  <wink>  ;)    I'm not sure if the 'Saturation' sliders work as expected though.  They seem to change the tint somewhat, rather than "saturation" per se....

(note: The inner colors are the OpalCalc skin and the window border is a WindowBlinds customization based on my wallpaper--which is a pic of Jupiter I scored on Reddit.  The extra window border buttons are ActualWindowManager, which I won in a drawing here on DC.)

Cool.  I didn't even know about the "copy as..." feature.

I know Office 2003 does have "paste special" options (in think in the Edit > Paste menu).
Maybe there are some "copy special" items too..

Excel does have the ability to "paste as image."

Though it might only work from within an Office app....  I'm sure you'd be able to "paste special" into an Outlook message.

Not sure if this will display correctly...
This would be a possible setup where there is a list of cells and you want the first word of each cell attached to the end of another text string.
Col A is the text
Cols B and C are "behind the scenes" and should be hidden.
===
My guess would be that this could be used in conjunction with Excel2Html.

Does anyone know how BRU compares with ReNamer http://www.den4b.com...&product=renamer ?
I actually use xplorer2 for 99% of my renaming...
Recently I needed to remove a string of text from multiple file names.
x2 wasn't able to do it, but RN was.  It was also nice because it "pre-checked" all of the files and told in before the actual rename, if there were going to be any conflicts...  (x2 will preview the first 2 or 3, but doesn't show errors).

Actually I was just playing around with some disjointed screenshots of my computer.  The fancypants one that I referenced above from GAOTD (which supposedly retails for $99!!!) doesn't even handle PNG files.  It just causes an error.  However ICE stitched everything together quite nicely.
465
..., they perform blending and distortion because they cannot map the pixels 1:1 (different perspective projections, different brightness and contrast on different photos). If you actually feed them "ideal" pictures where 1:1 mapping is possible, would they still distort the result? My naive guess would be that they won't.
This is also what I was thinking...  Especially the Microsoft ICE one.  It lets you choose how flat the image should be.  I would imagine there could be problems though, if different sub-components don't have enough visual info (such as a near empty space in the ocean).
466
No doubt you've tried Right-Clicking the map and choosing "Save Image As..."
You might actually be able to take the overlapping shots (if there aren't too many), crop away any window boarders, Make the canvas in SSC really big, then drag the different images around next to each other (manually) until the edges line up.
467
Coincidentally, there is a stitcher at GAOTD today.
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/
It might have the same color-blending problem you're describing above though...

Is there a way you can using the new 'Scrolling Capture' mode in ScreenShot Captor to achieve when you want in one capture?

If they started as paper docs and got converted to a PDF, I'll bet you can use a PDF tool to black out the parts, then REprint as a new PDF file and the blacked out info would be permanently gone.  I saw a PDF tool at dottech recently
http://dottech.org/f...-limited-time-offer/
that probably can do the blocking.
I'm not sure if it does virtual printing, but you probably already can do that.  If not, check out the free http://www.cutepdf.c...s/CutePDF/writer.asp

EDIT:  I'm not positive, but I think that even a Word file saved as pdf, then redacted as above and sent through a virtual printer would be secure.

DrawPlus usually requires a reboot during instillation.  I'm not sure why.

It does do pretty well with flow charts.  The areas that it doesn't cover so much are "photoshopping" pictures.  For example complex masking is not a strength.  Also it doesn't really do much in terms of filters.  These things are done via the sister product, PhotoPlus, which costs about the same.

Big difference in resource usage with Screenshot Capture idling at around 300k.
The others are usually much more.
This is true.  Snagit 11 sitting idle is never below 50MB.  You'll probably want the Editor running in the background.  That's another 50MB.   It does have some nice features that are not present in ScreenShot Captor, but SSC also has some nice features that are not available in SnagIt.   SSC is definitely more customizable, and plays nicer with other apps.  SnagIt is very proprietary--for example a fellow wrote a plug-in to do Imgur uploads https://github.com/hmemcpy/SnagitImgur but it can't be installed directly because the SnagIt security is so high....   Pretty frustrating, and not geek-friendly.
