Jody, with regards to the checkboxes:
The launch log is good for immediate perusal and report on how the execution progressed;
The state of the checkboxes would be saved to the settings file so when you close the program and reopen it, you can see which tasks have been completed.  It would make splat into sort of an executable todo list.

You see, if I am provisioning a computer (and were to use splat) for example, I have to restart the machine several times.  I would use splat to run scripts and commands and such, and the checkbox state would let me keep track of whether I've completed the task or not - after I restart the computer.

Jody, I made a similar program in autohotkey to use for provisioning computers.

In my program I have a tree, with lots of nodes.  Each node was kind of like what you call a profile - and each node had its subnodes - like your "actions".
So I could manually execute each action and after it finished, it would mark true a checkbox that was next to the item.
When all the actions were complete, the checkbox next to the node (your "profile") would be checked.

I spent too much time on it already, and it was designed just for this particular use of mine, so it's not something I could really share.  But I can share a little picture!

I am dreaming of being able to single-left click on the tray icon to open the editor (with my last capture).  Right now I have to double-click, and I have to remember that it works that way.  Single-click doesn't do anything.

In Options > The Basics > Hotkeys and Shortcuts, there is a setting for setting single-click on tray icon to CAPTURE.  But I have it set to not assigned because I don't want to capture on tray-icon click.

Okay, so I'm finicky.

Feature Request:  Option to assign what single-click on tray icon does - with setting for "open editor".

Description
This program was designed to aid in making word puzzles.  The authour publishes a childrens' magazine, and Ballistic helps in making custom crosswords, word searches and other word games.
You can use the pre-made wordlists or even a custom wordlist, and easily filter the list to match certain criteria.  It doesn't generate puzzles or games, but you can use it to find words that will fit in your puzzles.  You can easily find a word that matches any pattern.

I made this program for myself and have hosted it for a few people, but it has never been officially released.  This is my first public mention of the program.

Usage
Installation
Just extract the zip file to a folder and run the exectuable.
There isn't any installer at this time.

Uninstallation
Just exit the application and delete all the files.

Tips
The searches are faster if you disable the progressbar.
But the progressbar is fun.

Known Issues
Typoglycemiacize List is really slow for long lists.
If you stop the typoglycemiacize process midterm it won't save.  I can fix that.

I am not sure what settings I need for the anonymous API (I wish it would use my account though).

I want to use a hotkey to take a screenshot and then upload the file via email to imagur.com
There's no option for imagur in "Online Uploading"

But thre is an "Email SendTo List" which can be configured to send an email with screenshot attachment.  Problem is that I can't figure out how to make SC send it.

Skwire,  I can't figure out how to move checklists up and down in the panel.
I thought if I clicked a checklist to select it that I could then use the regular up and down arrows to move it, but that didn't work.  So I guess you can't use the sorting functions on the checklist listview.
I suppose I *could* rearrange it by editing the data file...

I fixed this by unchecking this option in the Miscellaneous Settings:
Check for all white/black captures, suggesting security app interference.

Apparently that feature doesn't check for black and white!

A nice feature might be that after you push printscreen and start drawing a selection that if you hold SHIFT, it could lock the selection to SQUARE.  Kind of like in Photoshop.

Oooh.  I just tried to take a screenshot of the zoom box in ColorMania 5.0 and SC didn't like that!
It gave me an error (I'd post a screenshot, but SC won't take it since it is it's own error box)

So, I can take a screenshot of the application window, and I can draw a selection over the controls.  But it errors when I attempt to draw a selection over the color boxes:

UPDATE:

Actually, the problem is that SC won't take a screenshot of an image that is just one colour.
I'm trying to make 16x16 square blocks of solid colour from screenshots.
So I tried to do that in another program and it won't work there either.

Also, I notice that "sort checked to bottom" also sorts the list alphabetically.
That is not what I expected - I expected it not to rearrange all my carefully organized list but to just moved the checked items to the bottom.  There is "sort alphabetically" if I wanted automatic sorting.

Say, Skwire, in the screenshot at the top, you have the sort-checked-to-top and sort-checked-to-bottom buttons in your toolbar.  How can I have that?  My commands are trapped inside a dropdown-menu-button.

Mouser, aaawwww, I don't want to do it manually!  I want it to be working when I want it to with the least amount of advertance.

Although the commands won't work right from SC, the batch file trick does work.  Thanks for the idea, Mouser!
