DC Gamer Club / GoD Factory Wingmen Offer
« Last post by wraith808 on August 28, 2014, 07:59 PM »
GoD Factory Wingmen releases on steam tomorrow, and I was looking at it... mostly because there's a 2 for one preorder special right now.  Does anyone want to split it?  I'm purchasing it in the morning no matter what, so that's when the offer expires.

I've been watching The Last Ship, and I really like it!  Also, I watched Dominion, which had its season finale, and really enjoyed it.  Defiance has also been good this season.

They also have DRM free movies now.  That was announced in that e-mail too.

Well, it's over at last and she didn't make it through. :( It was a pretty tense finale, they were the last to find out their verdict, and it was chosen by the judges. The way they structure the show is just so stressful... Anyway, she got really far and did great, I'm very proud of her. Thanks once again to all of you who watched, voted, and read about this little moment in my life. :)

- Oshyan

Sorry to see her not make it through :(  The last couple of years have seen some unique talents make it through... and I thought hers should have been among that number.

But that's me. And as I said, I know fellow Baker Street Irregulars that positively love the Elementary series. So what do I know?

The world is full of people with just as many varied tastes, preferences, and likes.  It's good that there's so much for people to varyingly like and not.

One of my favorite things about Elementary are the fact that they were not afraid to take certain parts of the mythology, and completely turn them on their head.  And I love the primary actors.

here there be spoilers
and Irene Adler is Moriarty is Natalie Dormer- and the subsequent manipulations from behind bars to save her child- were great IMO.  And I love the addiction storylines and Mycroft seeming less aware and intelligent... but being proven to be just as much more intelligent later as he is in the books... although I hated the part with him and Watson.  That's the kind of thing you need in a reimagining IMO.  You can do it without... but then it's just a remake.

I watch the US version... Elementary.

I like both, but for different reasons.

I also like RDJ in the role in the movies.  But that's, to me, on a whole different level.

I don't know if that's better or worse...

At least Google would have been highly unlikely to start charging you for the service, even if it would have meant having to invent some new high level ad blocker for it to be remotely usable.

Google could have also killed the service and rolled it into YT.  That's what people were most afraid of.

It's not just renamed, it's deleted.  I always make my account first as an admin, then delete the admin account.

But that last part is inspired... :)

Oh, and one more thing I'd forgotten in relation to the admin login- I also automatically lock out anyone that tries to login as admin.  Just because I'm that way.

My favorites so far were Neil Gaiman, George RR Martin, Tom Cruise, and Hugh Jackman.

Oh, and Charlie Sheen!

No matter what you think about him... that was cool.

When her co-workers retrieved their phones to try to call her, they found that she had been frantically trying to call and text people to come help her.

Um... Why not call someone outside of the school to come help? :-\

It doesn't say that she didn't.

Congrats!  That's a great and very creative and innovative act!  Loved the idea from the moment that I saw it... reminded me of the winner from last year in that she takes something she's good at, and elevates it to another level with storytelling.  But you never lose sight of the athletic and technical expertise behind it.

They actually got through enough to sort of screw things up.  I fixed it easy enough... but I did some more securing and moved the root of the wp site... it's inconvenient, but it should secure it a bit more.

That said, they brought back an updated Elite? That's simply awesome! One of the finest - if not THE finest - game from that era. I must have logged hundreds of hours playing it on my C64 .

Between this and Star Citizen, it seems that there's an old school renaissance in space sims.  I'm looking forward to both... but content to be on the sidelines waiting.  And that era (the Commodore 64/Apple ][ era) put out some real gems... and this is definitely one of the brightest.

I'm of the 'old school' where companies had free betas... and closed betas were given comp copies rather than you having to pay to play.  I might play once its out.  But I'm not paying an extra $25 to participate in beta.

Have you considered the idea that they don't want to attack you? And that they don't have any idea that they are doing it? That they could be the victim of malware?

It's possible.  But since all of the attacks originate from the same general area (the Ukraine), but not the same IP... is that likely?

You could try to pull the relevant "responsible" entities by IP and/or domain and send a report to the abuse address, but my experience is that nothing will happen. So it really depends on how valuable you rate your time and how annoyed you get.

This is what I figured the answer would be.  I also feel like taking that route would be being 'part of the problem', i.e. no one reports... so what's the reporting system good for.  I've just not reported anyone in a while... so didn't know if the abuse reports had gotten any better in resolution.
