I had a LinkedIn account but I deleted it a couple months ago. I wonder if I need to be concerned about this... :-\

Living Room / Re: The universe is geometrically flat?
« Last post by Deozaan on June 05, 2012, 04:17 AM »
Maybe I don't understand the meaning of "geometrically flat" but I thought it was a known fact that the universe was flat.

I remember explaining to a friend about the flatness of the universe back in 2006. She, too, was having trouble comprehending it. I thought I was doing a bad job explaining it, but maybe it is the concept itself that is difficult for some people to understand?

Maybe GlueIt would work for you?

Probably anything that is a Sprite-Sheet maker can do it for you.

I've removed all of these, with the exception of the Standard PS/2 Keyboard, (keep in mind I'm on a laptop with no external keyboards connected) and I've had no change.

It kind of makes me wonder what would happen if you did plug in an external keyboard. :-\

I can see why you wanted to play AirMech - not my sort of game though. What's with the Google Chrome frisbee in the trailer?
-Carol Haynes (June 01, 2012, 10:01 PM)

I'm not sure, but maybe the fact that AirMech has been available on the Chrome Web Store for a few months already has something to do with it?

DC Gamer Club / Worms Reloaded: Free Weekend on Steam / DC Group Play
« Last post by Deozaan on June 01, 2012, 10:19 PM »
Steam is having a free weekend for Worms Reloaded (so it's like a game rental). Worms happens to be one of mouser's favorite games. As such, this weekend is a good time to accept mouser's challenge to a match.

Can you defeat the Worms master?

Living Room / Re: The Zombie Apocalypse starts now....in Miami
« Last post by Deozaan on June 01, 2012, 03:07 AM »
This isn't on the same level as a zombie attack, but still cringe-worthy.

Japanese man cooks, serves his own genitals.

A Japanese artist cooked his own genitals and served them to five paying diners in Tokyo to cover the medical costs, in a bizarre act to raise awareness about sexual minorities.

Mao Sugiyama had his penis and testicles surgically removed in March and kept them frozen for two months before dishing them out -- seasoned and braised -- to customers at an event hall on May 13, according to postings on his Twitter account and local police.

Diners paid 20,000 yen ($250) for the plate with a portion of genitals. Pictures published on a website appeared to show the meal came complete with mushrooms and a parsley garnish.

Interesting what they call art these days... :o

So, uh, isn't this kind of what a Living Will is for?

Put all your info in a lockbox at the bank and then Will the lockbox to whoever needs the info... or something.

When I think about it, if I were to die then nobody really needs to know anything about me that they don't already know. All my accounts with passwords that people don't know and everything can just die with me and it won't matter.

I just noticed that if you pay $7 or more you can also get the Cheap Dinosaurs chiptune album. I've only heard one song from that album (Stroll) but I really like it and always wondered where to find the rest of the album. I'm almost tempted to get the bundle just for the album but then I realized I could just buy the album alone for $6 directly from Cheap Dinosaurs.

Composed on a Nintendo gameboy rigged with a sequencing cartridge, the album expertly moves from jazzy bit-scapes to algorithmic grooves that are equally suited for adventure, research- and romance. The suite of nine songs are at once challenging and rewarding, propelling Cheap Dinosaurs own brand of chip-music to the forefront of experimental pop.

DC Gamer Club / IndieRoyale Graduation Bundle
« Last post by Deozaan on May 31, 2012, 12:27 PM »
A less-than-stellar (IMO) offering this time from Indie Royale's Graduation Bundle.

Featuring:

The Void
Dead Pixels
The Ship
1000 Amps
LaserCat
AirMech

The only game here that slightly interests me is AirMech which is actually a F2P game, so there's no need to pay for it unless you're one of those weirdos that buys stuff in F2P games.

I looked at around 100 or so, but didn't see anything remotely NSFW... ???

I was quickly scrolling through the list of them and saw a naked female somewhere on the second page (using my link), I think. And IIRC there were a couple more before that which might be considered risque enough to be NSFW.

You don't have to download the games you don't actually want!
-Carol Haynes (May 28, 2012, 09:20 PM)

Right, but the money I wanted to go to one developer will be lessened since it will now be split into 1/3. And I am forced to support developers/games I don't want to.

Well that's annoying.

I only really want 1 game from this bundle (because I already own the others I'm interested in) but they require you to buy at least 3 games. There's a second game which I would probably never play but I'd be okay with owning it. But I honestly don't want any of the others as a third game.

DC Gamer Club / Indie Game Music Bundle
« Last post by Deozaan on May 28, 2012, 06:47 PM »
Game Music Bundle is a pay-what-you-want promotion for 5+ game soundtracks:

1. Terraria
2. Plants vs. Zombies
3. Dustforce
4. Ilomilo
5. Frozen Synapse

If you pay $10 or more then you get an additional 10 albums.

Downloads are DRM-free 320kbps MP3s. Play the music anywhere, anyhow you want — no hassle, guaranteed. If you pay $10 or more, you'll also receive links to FLACs.

Of all the games listed on that page, I've only played Terraria, Plants vs. Zombies, and Frozen Synapse. Of course musical tastes are a matter of opinion but I think you'd definitely get your money's worth from those three alone. I already own the Frozen Synapse soundtrack it is a really good listen even if you didn't have any experience with the game its from.

Select "Border Padding" from the dropdown menu to change the width.

Thanks! I was just clicking on the border and it was selecting "Active Window Border" for me.

I also like XP's "Fisherprice" theme

Oh, I hate that blue and orange menace! The first thing I always did was change it to "classic" mode.

Orange?

I only remember it being blue, except the red X button of course. And since blue is my favorite color... I like it.  :)
