Oh yeah, I should mention this, too:

Torchlight 2 Soundtrack for free. (And the Torchlight 1 game and soundtrack are included in the Humble Indie Bundle 6 which launched today.)

It might be a good idea to register your copy of Torchlight 2 (if you've already bought it) for online play before the big rush on Thursday:

https://secure.runic...gister/torchlight-ii

Done and thank you!  Where did you learn about this?  It has been sitting in Steam for so long that all I have done is pre-load it.

I went to download that soundtrack (which I heard about from RunicGames on Twitter) and then clicked the link to log into my Runic account just for the fun of it and there I saw the link asking me to register for online play.

I just found this one in my twitter feed:

Clash, by Caravan Palace.

It's like... 1920s music techno.

Official song: (Nothing interesting to watch on the video, but good audio quality)

Clash performed live:

Oh, and mouser and Josh asked to be in the 4-pack first, so that makes 4 of us (I already have myself and another person interested in copies).

Sorry y0himba. You can try to organize another 4-pack in this thread if you'd like.

Hmmm... The last Worms release on the PC put me off Team17 for good

I thought so, too. I was really disappointed in Worms Reloaded. It was a major step back from Worms Armageddon (which you get free if you pre-order Worms Revolution!) and just seemed awful. It was still fun gameplay, but it suffered from consolitis. (It felt like a console game ported to PC.)

But Worms Revolution looks really fun to me, and it adds more features in.

P.S. Anyone else notice that these two games follow the naming scheme of the Matrix movies? Reloaded -> Revolution? So original, Team17! :D

That's hilarious. It's both a trick AND a treat! But when I was a kid my mom made me throw away anything that wasn't still in it's original wrapping. If it wasn't wrapped, it went in the trash.

(Samuel J. Jackson dramatization of seeing Windows 8 for the first time.)

I'm thinking his middle initial is actually 'L' ... But either way you just gotta like the guy. I love that line from Snakes on a Plane.

I'm pretty sure his middle initial is "M" for "MoFo" ;)

I can imagine a near future scenario where the battlefields will start seeing real versions of Phillip K. Dick's small battle robots called  "Claws" in his 1953 post-nuclear apocalypse short story The Second Variety. If you haven't read it yet, you should. It's a great story. (Available to read or download free from The Gutenberg Project - link here.)

Thanks for the link. I just read it.

Living Room / Re: It's Not Privacy vs Security, it's Freedom vs Control...
« Last post by Deozaan on September 06, 2012, 11:29 AM »
Thanks for posting this. I've had it on my list to watch for several days now and finally got around to it. I recently read this article, which goes along well with the video:

Every so often, you hear the argument “If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear”, in order to justify increased and invasive surveillance. This argument is not only dangerous, but dishonest and cowardly, too.

...

There are at least four good reasons to reject this argument solidly and uncompromisingly: [1] The rules may change, [2] it’s not you who determine if you’re guilty, [3] laws must be broken for society to progress, and [4] privacy is a basic human need.

I was getting kind of frustrated with how slowly the person was typing, but then I viewed the video at a higher resolution and I noticed that the keys are all in the wrong places. Why? :'(

So, I procrastinated majorly, but I've been working on an entry that needs to be submitted for the deadline in less than 48 hours from now. I could use an artist to provide me with some sprites. Not many sprites needed. Maybe only 10, I think. Not too large, either. I think 256x256 (each) would probably be overkill.

Plus maybe some title screen artwork would be nice. Then again, I don't even have a title for the game yet. . .

But anyway, any artistic volunteers who would be willing/able to provide me with some art within the next 48 hours? :D It would be much appreciated.
