:) Agreed on the privacy, but have another look at the settings: It shows multiple words, delays after period, and more.

 :) How about this one?

LowToSleep - Stop a PC from falling asleep until the CPU is inactive.

Features:
- Change CPU limit using Settings in the tray menu
- Shows CPU usage in the tray

You'll find the downloads and more info at 1 Hour Software by Skrommel.

It just checks the CPU, and if it is above the limit (5 % is default), it sends a keystroke to a hidden control.

:) I don't know if you still need this one...

UnderCover - Automatically hide a window's buttons and other controls.

Features:
- Ctrl-Rightclick to hide a control
- Change settings using Settings in the tray menu

The hidden controls are saved to an ini file, so whenever a new window of the same class is run, it automatically loses it's controls.

:) Have you tried Taskbar Shuffle? It even lets you rearrange grouped buttons!

added: full support for XP button grouping -- this was so annoying and took quite a bit of effort.. hooray for me

http://www.freewebs.com/nerdcave/taskbarshuffle.htm

It's not mine, I have made a similar tool, but I couldn't understand the memory contents of the grouped buttons...

:) Here's a Gui version called Text2Shortcut.

It shows a little always on top window where you can drag and drop a text file containing lines of filenames. The shortcuts are placed on your desktop in the folder of the text file.

Save to Text2Shortcut.ahk, download and install AutoHotkey from www.autohotkey.com, run.

:) Here's an alternative take on the problem.

Accents - Press a key three times or more to apply accents.

Features:

- Change accents using Settings in the tray menu
- Doesn't work properly with shifted keys while CapsLock is on

Post New Requests Here / Re: IDEA: Separate "Active" Window for a script?
« Last post by skrommel on December 09, 2006, 05:18 PM »
:) I guess I could make a program to watch the user's action and only automate when inactive, but XP actually has this option built in, it's called Remote Desktop. However, Microsoft has limited it to allow only 1 connection, including your normal login, but a simple patch should make it all work again.

Warning! Use the following tip at your own risk! On my XP Pro Norwegian it disabled the Fast User Switching. It probably is a violation of your license aggreement, too. Please read the instructions, and make backups of termsrv.dll, winlogon.exe and mstscax.dll so you can restore your system!

Do a web search for
Spoiler
TermSrvNoRestrPatch-1-2

Download, run and reboot, and you can connect to you own computer as many times as you like! Just don't minimize the Remote Desktop windows, or your scripts will pause.

I could write a more complete tutorial for this, but it's kind of illegal, and I wouldn't want to risk shutting down the forum. What do you think, mouser?

 :) Just updated ShortCutter v1.1.

Changes:
- 20061209 - v1.1: Marks the shortcuts with modification date instead of creation date, removes shortcuts to missing files, updates modification date of all shortcuts.

:) I don't know if this meets your needs, but here's an attempt.

ShortCutter - Make autoupdating collections of shortcuts to certain filetypes.

Features:
- Rightclick the tray icon to configure
- Choose Settings to change rules and options
- Choose Enable to Start or Stop all the rules

Keep folders with shortcuts to all your music, images or whatever!

You'll find the downloads and more info at 1 Hour Software by Skrommel.

This one could also be made to make hard links on an NTFS system, but that makes deleting your invaluable documents only a click away...

Post New Requests Here / Re: IDEA: Desktop Teleporter
« Last post by skrommel on December 05, 2006, 04:34 PM »
:) Made a gui to my previous post and changed the name.

MoveOut - Make rules to move files automatically.

Features:
- Rightclick the tray icon to configure
- Choose Settings to change rules and options
- Choose Enable to Start or Stop all the rules

You'll find the downloads and more info at 1 Hour Software by Skrommel.

Use it to make a rule that moves files from the desktop to a subfolder, based on file type, part of a filename, or whatever. Have it ask to replace existing files, or rename them. It can also ignore files.

:) It looks like you need AutoHotkey. Go to www.autohotkey.com and download and install it.

Edit the following script to match your applications title, and save it to a file called Action.ahk, and place it in you Startup folder.

WinWait, title of you application spelled correctly
WinActivate, title of you application spelled correctly
WinWaitActive, title of you application spelled correctly
Send,^w

:o There's an error on my page, and it's been there for ages!
For Maxthon you need a zip-file! I'll fix it!

In the meantime, go to http://res.maxthon.com/ItemList.aspx?i=910#

:tellme: If you unpacked it to C:\Program Files\Maxthon\Plugin\LiPs and restarted Maxthon, you should find it in the Options-Maxthon Options-Plugin dialog. Make shure LiPs is checked.

Also make shure the View-Toolbars-Plugins Bar is checked.

:) I think I'll put the windows in the tray menu. I made the windows transparent just to remind the user that they could be restored, but maybe there's a better way of alerting him...
