Deo, does a game like this give you an ideas for similar simulation-style games you might make?

Reading a little about Factorio and watching some videos -- it's fascinating.  It's probably not a game i would enjoy playing -- for me it seems to fall into that civilization-style simulation category that looks to much like "work" to be fun for me, but wow is it impressive.  What an amazing simulation based system.

About When Last: I'm running the latest beta, but I'm using quite a long title, that's probably the reason it looks a bit cramped. Unless you have a few tricks up your sleeve...

Latest beta (2.12) of WhenLast now has a widget option to split title and date onto separate lines -- should look much better in cases like yours.

ps. Future WhenLast discussion should take place on WhenLast thread: https://www.donation...ndex.php?topic=40182

Final Call for NANY 2017 Participants -- Deadline Jan 1st, 2017

The January 1 deadline for NANY 2017 participation is fast approaching!

We need help spreading the word about the event.  If you know a coder who might be interested in releasing a new freeware/donationware application by January 1st, or a forum or website where the announcement might reach coders, please help us spread the word!

The forum section for participants is here:

There are even a few beta entries up for those who like to test things early (including 4 or 5 android apps by me), with more on the way.

I'm glad it arrived in time.

We should say that the mug art was made by Nudone (Nick Pearson) many years ago and it's quite wonderful (the other side shows Cody in the bed before his recovery and is worth posting too).  It's really Nick Pearson's amazing art that deserves the thanks for the mug.  The mug has been sent to a small handful of people over the years who end up in the hospital for serious matters and need some magical luck.

Click on the actual score value and you get this:
Screenshot - 12_7_2016 , 1_22_20 AM_ver001.png

So from the calculator you can easily add arbitrary values to your score (e.g. type "+25" to add 25 points), or do more complicated modifications, or just hit "Clear" to reset to 0.

Implemented. Next release will be able to bring up a little calculator if you click on the item, where you can add/subtract arbitrary values, just as was suggested

Tuxman,

I just want to add my voice to those asking that you please try to express yourself in a less hostile way.   No one is saying you can't have and voice your opinions, but do take note that on this forum you are sometimes coming across in a manner that is disrespectful towards others and antagonistic.  And while there may be places and times for that elsewhere, we try hard to avoid that here.

Can you point me (link) at where you got that (untrusted) impression.

I had forgotten all about K Software.. They seem like a good place to get certificates.

Will they do wildcard certs during the 90 day preview? If StartSSL goes untrusted I'm screwed on several fronts.
not only won't they do wildcard certs during the 90 day preview, but a wildcard cert is something like $900.  :tellme:

Don't take my word on the StartSSL untrusted stuff.. The whole ssl cert scene is confusing to me and I'm just operating on the bare scraps of info that i pick up, and i have a very tenuous grasp on the whole process, much like my interactions with the fair sex.

Edit: I will definitely revisit LetsEncrypt in the near future.  For now I am trying Comodo's InstantSSL and the process seems to be pretty painless and fast thus far.
They will generate 90 day ssl certificates for free so its a great way to test things.

The new SSL certificate is on the DonationCoder https server as we speak.

Updated.

v1.22 - 11.29/16
Widget bottom mode label no longer includes the second default mode label line saying "tap to advance" -- saves some screen real estate.

LetsEncrypt looks awesome.. I may very well try it.
Looks like they don't do code signing certificates so that will have to be handled someplace else regardless.
