Hmm.. Interesting problem.. There is no way to handle that currently but I'll put an item on my todo list.

I'm not entirely sure what you want to do.. You speak of screenshots, which are images, and then of sentences, which is text.. Can you clarify what you are trying to do?

Developer's Corner / Free book on making your own x86 operating system
« Last post by mouser on December 27, 2016, 04:02 PM »
Here's a neat ebook/website on how to make your own x86 operating system: The little book about OS development by Erik Helin, Adam Renberg.

For anyone who was ever curious about what it would take to make their own OS, this looks like just the thing.

This text is a practical guide to writing your own x86 operating system. It is designed to give enough help with the technical details while at the same time not reveal too much with samples and code excerpts. We’ve tried to collect parts of the vast (and often excellent) expanse of material and tutorials available, on the web and otherwise, and add our own insights into the problems we encountered and struggled with.

Screenshot Captor / Re: Quick Question
« Last post by mouser on December 27, 2016, 03:40 PM »
No reason to be embarrassed!

As you have guessed, Screenshot Captor is resistant to throwing out old screenshots.  That reflects my personal bias towards holding on to things in case you might need them later (SC does have some nice features for auto-filing old screenshots into folders based on date so they will stay out of your way).

However, there are a couple of ways to do what you want.  Here's one way:
  • Go the File Naming tab and change the "Default New File Name" to something that doesn't include the date, like "LastScreenshot".
  • Then UNCHECK the checkbox near the middle of the dialog labeled "Auto sequence new file names to avoid overwriting old files".

Screenshot - 12_27_2016 , 3_29_37 PM.png

What that will do is always keep only the last saved file, and just keep overwriting that one file as you make new captures.
(If you ever want to save a screenshot forever just do a Save As or rename that file).

The other way you could try to do what you want is to check the "Don't Auto Save Captures" option on the Miscellaneous Tweaks tab, however that's not going to work if you subsequently try to copy the image FILE to the clipboard (vs copying the image bitmap to clipboard), as trying to copy the file to the clipboard will immediately force SC to save the file to disk.

You know I haven't rebuilt PBOL android using my latest core code in a while, so that could be related. Let me update it with latest stuff in the next few days.

There isn't currently, BUT if someone feels like writing a tiny little commandline tool you could integrate that into LBC.

See the help section on "Commandline Output and Text Contents Menu Nodes":

You can now have LBC run a commandline console tool and grab the output of it to make menus on the fly.

Essentially just make a commandline tool that outputs one or more lines containing the date, time, etc.  and then add the commandline tool as a "CommandLineOutput" node.

If you want to get fancy you can let the generated items PASTE into the last application when selected, and give them custom icons.

Is there a way to enter a child  node to present date and time?

Can I suggest that new requests be started on new threads so that they are easier for others to search for and participate in?

Another really nice tool for ripping your music cds is Exact Audio Copy, which has worked for me on older CDs that other programs failed on:

It's possible that the widget "category to show" was set to something other than ALL, and so it didn't seem to be working but maybe you just needed to change the widget category to show.

Thanks for the report.  Whew!

Widgets can't be used when the application is installed on non-internal storage.
Interesting -- I had no idea.

Glad you solved it and I hope the calculator feature is useful.

I see you figured out how to set a custom title for the widget.

And I presume the "Reset all items" menu item is useful to you.

I see a ScoreTracker widget on my android.. perhaps its a problem with me marking it as incompatible with some versions of android...

Hmm let me check.

Can anyone else verify?

Welcome RCFitzhugh

I'm glad you posted your question, because both features are implemented in the software, but can be tricky to configure.

To configure the delay time for hiding and unhiding, click on your LaunchBar node, and go to the Docking Bar 2 tab:
Screenshot - 12_23_2016 , 3_34_16 PM.png

Right above that you will see a checkbox for "Do not stretch to full size".  Check that box and then you can make your LaunchBar not stretch the full width of your screen.
The tricky part then is to actually resize your bar.  To do that on more recent versions of windows, you MAY NOT (try it first) be able to drag the edges of your bar.  In this case, click somewhere on the back of the bar, and then use Ctrl+Arrow keys or Alt+Arrow keys to move and resize your bar.

Let me know if that works for you!
