@sajman99

You are correct. The second entry must be from another application I was trying at the same time I was looking at Scanner. Thanks for noticing.
383
Ok, had a look at the other ones... CrystalDiskMark doesn't have the SysInfo component but the other two, CrystalCPUID and CrystalMark 2004R3, do.
384
I only use CrystalDiskInfo Portable and SysInfo is not included.

Control Panel User Accounts --> Change the Way Users Log on / off

Or, type control userpasswords2 in the Run Box (Start button --> Run or Win + R key) and click Ok.
Untick "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" and click Ok.
386
TunnelVision is another option.
387
See Virtual Flashlight thread.

There are a few free s/w suggestions in that thread.
388
You two are having a go again?

General Software Discussion / Re: The Dude! - free network monitor
« Last post by PhilB66 on June 21, 2009, 06:44 PM »

Disclaimer: 40hz is not associated with the makers of Spiceworks, The Dude - or anything else come to think of it. However, if somebody would like to slip him a cool few million, a Jaguar S1 E-Type, or a date with Evangeline Lilly to shill their product, he'd at least be willing to talk about it...

 ;D

Not gonna happen anytime soon... Nicole Evangeline Lilly is "overbooked". How about dating her photo instead?

Bookmarked.

Thanks for putting this list together. Very useful. (btw, there are a few broken links there)

Thanks hamradio and 40hz for explaining my point...  :)

For a small footprint & completely portable file search check out X-Find from Xteq.

Writes settings to the registry at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xteq Systems\X-Find\1.0
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xteq Systems\X-Find

Ahh .. good to know on WinDirStat. Loading it at work now.
-Steven Avery (June 17, 2009, 09:43 AM)

Dang it!  Lashiec beat me with WinDirStat, that was my next suggestion.

However, I will add it is portable - just extract it from the installer, (or install, copy, uninstall), and you're good to go.

You may download a .zip file from this page http://sourceforge.n...mp;release_id=342578 (extract to any folder, delete setup.exe and you are ready to go)

BTW. it does write its settings to the registry.
