What's the Best? / Re: Anti-Virus Package
« Last post by mitzevo on December 03, 2006, 12:40 PM »
I just have to comment.. Panda Software (including Panda Anti-Virus) has the most beautiful UI..

:D

Honestly, the User Interface is so clean and nice. I wish all anti-virus would have professional UIs like Panda's softwares.

;D you shouldn't give them any credit what so ever..

hey, that's very nice :), I've also found an online based ToDo thingy

here: http://www.tadalist.com/
Keep track of all the little things you need to get done
Make lists for other people (co-workers, friends, family)
Share lists with the world ("My favorite movies of 2004")
Subscribe to your lists in RSS so you're always on track
...and more! See screenshots, details, and a movie below.

This Tracks thing looks pretty neat  :) ;D

Living Room / Re: Best Freeware FTP client?
« Last post by mitzevo on December 01, 2006, 09:10 PM »
I tried FileZilla, had it instlaled for a few months, didn't really use it much.. Thought it was quite crappy compared to FlashFXP or SmartFTP, but it is open source so.. well so nothing. It sux. Interface especially.

Mind you I never really played with it or dug around in its options, etc.   I guess if I spend the time to configure it properly and get acquainted with its features I will probably like it..  :(

you might want to check out paint.NET, which is not a bad free graphics editing app for Windoze.

Yes, thank you mouser for your thank you :D, the users are the ones who power every thing..

but of course you set it up and started the momentum, and kept rolling with it.

You are one smart human.. ;) you know how to layout every thing in influential ways (or maybe I'm just seeing things.. ) but your purpose is good, and that's what makes this community solid.

Don't know if any of you understand that.. don't think I even do..

Cool bananas!  ;D

Living Room / Re: Whats the best OS?
« Last post by mitzevo on October 13, 2006, 10:18 PM »
There is no best for every one.. there is only best for yourself  :-\ Sure you have communities of people who have the same <os|thing> as their best.. but that's all.. just like software..

the best is what you like to use, what you find helps you alot.. how will you know what you want to use? you can get recommendations.. like reviews.. and you probably will find some thing you really like.. or you can go around and try out stuff untill you find some thing you really like.. then maybe/probably some where down the line you find some thing even better..

and again.

there is no one solution for every one (wether it be computer-related, or w/e), people are different, people change.. preferences change..

Why would you ask to know the best os? I guess you just want to use the best tools right? Well by asking this question you are just gonna get other peoples opinions.. and they're just that.. opinions.. sure you might take some opinions influence more than others.. sure you might find a really great <thing> from an opinion.. but it's not the best.. because the best is different for any one.
393
The reviews are just great.. all though they are not "this is what we like, this is what you will like more than that" type of things.. ofcourse they are just general info for people who are looking for good software. Ofcourse every one is different and likes their own things. The reviews just pick some good choices or narrow the choices down so you don't have to start a big project for your self on finding the best of the best.

They run thru the most popular (and some least known/popular) software in each category so it saves yourself time having to test all programs yourself. I find this very useful as this saves a lot of time and you don't have to learn how to use each new program.

Living Room / Re: Blog Article - Social Networking: Time For A Silver Bullet
« Last post by mitzevo on October 05, 2006, 07:25 AM »
dude, remember these are your own opinions, just remember that DC to us can be (and is) myspace to others.. ppl like their playgrounds.. there is nothing wrong with myspace.. i mean you can meet alot of ppl there and do the stuff like build networks of friends etc. but yes, since it's on the net it's obviously filled with crap like spam, malware, etc. so it is best to stay away from those places unless.. well.. unless you like to visit.. ofcourse.

most of the SNS that pop up are just clones trying to be mypsace/friendseter.. there are alot of scripts for SNS, some good some bad.. any one can start one.. and if created and maintained properly.. it's easy to be a big hit and become quite known.

Pretty much alot of ppl try to run their own SNS sites.. all it takes is a script and some time.. it's just like running a blog.

Mine happens to be the same model and I was tryng to sell it (not really trying just seeing if any one was interested) and Deozaan finds this $30 one... what the hell..

it's probably stolen, i mean who would sell it at that price? it would make a better gift.. jesus.
