You'll be sorry when she says...
"Honey, I would have bought you that lovely red Sports Car! But as you can't see to drive it......."  ;D

Rats! You women are so fiendishly clever!

[My score for the test was 19; the walls still look white to me.]

...that's because we can...well... see:Thmbsup:
That was fun. I scored a 0.

STOP!  HOLD EVERYTHING!

After lo, these many years, YOU have liberated me from the menial.
I cannot begin to tell you how profoundly grateful I am.

Let me practise for a moment...

Wife: Would you empty the garbage?
Self:  Sorry, I can't see!

Wife: Isn't it your turn to cook?
Self:  Sorry, I can't see!

Wife: Dishes?
Self:  Sorry, I can't see!

I sense the dawn of a new age  ;D

Eóin is right, it's difficult to be beat paper and a pencil -- in terms of spead, of course.  :(

I've had a tablet for longer than I can remember. Ever since the Apple Newton tantalized and then fell I've lusted after some input combination that will handle cursive script. Even with today's high-resolution devices and phenomenal computing power I remain sadly disappointed.

For myself, I find that Tablets are fine for 'art', okay for the occasional quick (and crude) note/annotation, and inadequate for anything else.

Perhaps the truth is that I am inadequate at these tasks but, practically speaking, the end result is the same.

Can you not achieve what you want by deploying the existing timer plug-in for Find And Run Robot (FARR)?

Note that I couldn't even log into the forum and post with links2.

So, the Gothi[c]-links2 blocker does work then!   :)

Yes, thanks for the information, 40hz. I, too, would be interested in how things go from here.

Nor do I find it funny to be greeted as Mr. Custard!

At least they didn't call you Colonel Mustard;D

As I said to Miss Scarlett, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."

If you see a really fat boarder coming over the stern rail don't forget to yell "Avast behind!"

on Wednesday, as I was teaching, a child jumped on my palm and broke it

Gee, you must have long arms!

Sorry to hear about your mishaps. You seem to be having fun with the tablet, at least.

Hey! Can the dream of World Domination!

The old guy opened a can of light yellow paint and asked my friend "Is this gray?"
Men also lose their sense of humor as they age. So if you know any older men who can't see yellow, you probably don't want to needle them about it. They won't think it's so funny.

I've been in and out of board-level meetings all week, wearing this yellow flannel suit that my wife assured me was grey.
I fail to see the humour in that.
Nor do I find it funny to be greeted as Mr. Custard!
Other than that, my sense of humour is just fine.

(Does anyone here recall Richard Hearne)?

Oh really?  :)

I'm not taking the test.

For the past seven years I've been living in a house where a number of areas are painted white.

My wife recently informed me that NONE of these areas is white, that every one is a different pastel shade.

After a little thought I decided that if I believe the areas are white that's good enough for me.
I don't want to live in a house with pastel shades.

It all comes down to attitude, and that's all white with me.

Podcast Radio Show / Re: Requesting Ideas for DonationCoder Podcast #7

what if the podcast was mainly a series of short segments where various people on DC talked about what they were up to?
nudone and timns could talk about their latest webcomics
other people could talk about their websites, etc

What about a 5-minute segment from Mouser talking about his philosophy and hopes for DC?

(No, Jesse, 5 minutes of no voice, accompanied by off-mic a/c repair SFX won't do.)

Like they say, if VSS doesn't work well "we recommend you contact Microsoft Technical Support and not 2BrightSparks"...  :D

Sure, who wants bright sparks when dim bulbs are available?

Another thought: If you spend top dollar on the latest hardware, it'll be outdated in six months. The bleeding edge ain't all it's cracked up to be.

I'll endorse that one!  My own days on the bleeding edge are over, too much trouble, insufficient reward -- perhaps, simply, ennui.  My recent system came from behind the curve and I'm more than satisfied.

3722
I am grateful that I haven't had issues - maybe it is particular versions of nVidia's drivers causing the problems - have you looked to see if they have been updated?

Yes, thanks for the thought, but I've done all that stuff.

It doesn't concern me, I was just tossing my pebble into the 'post-SP3-turbulence' stream.

Mouser  and Darwin,

Another good job with the newsletter!

Headline from the Roman Gazette regarding a group who were getting a little too cozy with the neighbours...
