Also, anything by Ashleigh Brilliant. Especially his "Pot-Shots."

I like his self-imposed limit of 17 words per epigram - more people than me could learn from it... Epigram #64: "I'm writing to tell you I have nothing to say"!

I was brought up to call it the key pocket. As a child I only needed one key. I like the poor man's watch pocket definition, but modern pockets are too small for a pocket watch, I think.

..., I think he always resented being almost forced to use something he didn't believe in  just to stay in touch with people he knew and loved.

I'm kinda in the same spot with things like Facebook and Twitter.

I was talked into getting on facebook, and is  s l o w l y  understanding that I will *need* to stay active on facebook if I want to stay in touch with our youngster's upbringing. On facebook, they can say nothing to more people, faster and cheaper. I have tried to say something myself, but no-one heard it. As an example, I was robbed in my home in broad daylight. I told about it on facebook but didn't get a single reply. Why? Probably because I posted around midday, so when they all came home from school or work, my post was on page 2 or 3 or whatever. The experience made me lose the last hint of hope for the future... haha. But I still need facebook, to stay updated on the kids.

PowerDirector 9 Ultra64 is the latest version of CyberLink's powerful consumer video editor.

mediumImg.gif

A new 100 track timeline means you can add more layers of footage, graphics, effects and sound than ever before. And yet, the improved editor is still easier to use than in previous versions. You can drag and drop clips to the point where you need them; group clips and audio tracks together, so you can move them around all together; automatically remove empty tracks, and more.

If your videos aren't of the highest quality, then don't worry, PowerDirector can often fix them. A video stabilisation filter will compensate for camera shake, for instance, while other tools reduce video noise, fix lighting issues, clean up your audio or correct colour problems.

You can then enhance your movie with the hundreds of professional video, particle and transition effects bundled with PowerDirector. Or if that's not enough, log on to CyberLink's DirectorZone site, where more than 100,000 effects, templates, tips and DVD menus can be downloaded and used for free.

A strong focus on performance means this all happens faster than ever. A new 64-bit editor means PowerDirector can access all the RAM on 64-bit Windows systems, for instance. Improved multithreading gets the maximum amount of power from your CPU, and support for GPU acceleration - NVIDIA CUDA and ATI Stream - adds an extra speed boost on PCs with compatible graphics cards.

And when your video project is finished, PowerDirector 9 offers many new ways to share it with the world.

You can burn it to disc: SVCD, DVD, AVCHD, Blu-Ray, even the new BDXL.

The program can upload your movie to Facebook or YouTube, in Full HD Quality.

And new portable device support allows you to output videos that will play on the iPad, iPod, iPhone, Blackberry, PSP and many other mobile devices.

Hmm... the combination, CCleaner and CCenhancer, disables Firefox addon FavLoc.
I haven't tested if FavLoc will work without CCenhancer. Normally, I never use CCleaner.

Now back to Normal ;-)

-what a mystery! I don't dare to ask if you are certain you clicked "Download Latest", so I won't. My CCEnhanced ini file includes Vim. CCleaner doesn't create any ini files.

I am not all sure how to understand your words about Vim in CCenhancer. Was Vim first present in CCleaner, and then you installed CCenhancer and Vim disappeared?

I have not checked CCleaner for Vim, before installing CCenhancer, but:
With CCenhancer installed:

[Vim (History)*]
LangSecRef=3021
Detect=HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Vim
Default=False
FileKey1=%UserProfile%|_viminfo
FileKey2=%UserProfile%|.viminfo
-CCenhanced winapp2.ini

Edit:
Yes, I know, the proper word is not "installed".

General Software Discussion / CCEnhancer 2 makes CCleaner support 270 more programs

http://thewebatom.ne...download-ccenhancer/
http://majorgeeks.co...CEnhancer_d6547.html

CCEnhancer 2.0

CCEnhancer is a simple, easy to use utility designed to add support for over 270 new programs into the popular program CCleaner.

The tool uses the WinApp2.ini system built into CCleaner to easily add new rules and definitions for programs. The rules were sourced mainly from the Piriform Support Forum, with several sourced from other places around the internet.

Editors Note: The actual file containing the definitions is not included with the program. Simply press "Download Latest" and the tool will automatically download the most recent version of the definitions. If CCEnhancer cannot locate the CCleaner.exe file you can open a dialog box and select the page yourself.

Living Room / VectorMagic HDR
« Last post by Curt on November 17, 2010, 04:51 PM »
Vector Magic have launched a new service:

http://www.YoHDR.com

YoHDR lets you upload three exposure bracketed photos and convert them into an HDR photo.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography is a technique used to create photographs of scenes with both very bright and very dark sections without the result becoming either washed out or too dark. Done right the results can be quite spectacular.

This is accomplished by taking multiple photos of the same scene with different exposure times. These separate photos are then combined in a smart way to create a result that has good exposure across the entire image.

Previously you had to download and install some pretty complicated software to accomplish this, but with YoHDR you can now do this easily online - just upload your photos and get your result right away.

Best,
James and Jacob

-the scanners' accusation may have been right. But I believe ("want"?) today's Brothersoft to be different from yesterday's. I have the unprovable idea that they made their way to the top in a dodgy way, so to speak, but like the Corleone's they are now trying to become/stay clean. But many people are like bad coppers who say "once a thief, always a thief". I say, there are such things as repentance, and, taking a new course. Pardon my French! I have had no bad experiences with Brothersoft.
