[edit] maybe I'm too quick on the draw here. The situation is this: from my home, I can only see my YT comments if I am logged into and using my g+ account. Otherwise they just dont show. As in gone. I will try from elsewhere tomorrow to see if they visible from another location [/edit]

OK, their latest 'approach' is to censor your YT comments if you dont use your full name.
No-one can see my comments on YT
That is extreme...

I discovered this by accident:
they are silently logging me out of my g+ account when I look at YT pages (I think it's after hibernating the laptop) - they show instead my email address, and prompt me to open new g+ account. But anyways, I couldnt see my comment on a particular video, and actually thought the video uploader had censored my comment (which was mildly critical). Turns out that no-one can see my comments - only me, and then only when I'm logged in, and (presumably :tellme:) people who are following me.

I know I'm expecting the worst here (but with good reason). I guess it could be a bug, but a very odd one...

^ you can bet that the average person in that kind of job, is not overly enamoured by it. Why should they listen to you or anyone getting angry and using 'language' - that's abusive. Who you're angry about and whether you're right or wrong is besides the point.
(It would be funny though, if they joined in: stupid mf corporation/government/whoever )

I've made calls where I was seriously upset - and started out that way (angry/extremely upset), but managed to cool myself down, still getting my message across - making my point strongly, but also noting that it has nothing to do with the person I'm talking to. I've had success like that - I imagine they appreciated that I reigned things in a bit because I was taking their position into account.
Of course sometimes you just want to make a point. Whatever.

I dont know about you all, but if someone approaches me an angry/aggressive/abusive manner, I'm naturally going to take that as an attack, and get defensive or attack back. That's human nature (I think). Their job only allows one option there. I can completely relate to their position.

2) did you find any paid programmes that you reckon would fix the problem (to help better understanding)

If the extra window has focus, it stays on top even when another window has focus - is this intentional? I find it confusing.

Esc will get rid of the window, but I tend to often just click in the background window I want to use. This normally doesnt work great for me: the GoogleTranslator+ window stays on top and becomes almost transparent. I dont think this is a good idea, it just gets in the way - I forget it's there and click on it unintentionally. I think it would be better if it just worked like a normal window. What do you think?

I find using the same hotkey for Translate and Look-up-definition not ideal. I realise that I can toggle the "Look-up-definition" via button first; but I think it would be easier to simply have two hotkeys - one for each (?)
=> would that mean having two buttons instead of a toggle button? Press the button for the action (e.g. Translate).
Currently the F4 hotkey does not have a button for the action. I think it would be good if it did.

Minor: when giving a definition, it would be nice if the defined word were shown at the beginning.

eh, how do I get the "Look up definition" ?
I presumed it was just a case of clicking on the search icon - but nothing happens here.
I tried it with just one word in the box or with the word selected, without success.

Re Dylan, yeah, I was just talking about the lyrics
I have heard him say that in a few interviews - that the lyrics just flowed for most of those early classic tracks. Of course that doesn't make them any better, or worse, than lyrics that someone worked on for months.

Thanks for the 'intellectual' explanation - be curious what SB has to say there. I have negative associations with that word. Which is stupid. It's just a word. But it is helpful to define it a wee bit at least, in a context like this.

Clipboard Help+Spell / Clips copied from CHS window dont show in QuickPaste list

occasionally I open the main CHS window and search for older clips which I copy to the clipboard. These do not show in the QuickPaste list at all, which makes it pretty awkward to actually use them, except on an individual basis.

Could this be changed?

I think when music tries to be intellectual, it takes away from itself musically. Intellect and music don't really mix. Lyrics can be intellectual, but even there I'm not so sure - I guess it depends on your definition of 'intellectual'. Were Dylan's early lyrics intellectual? I don't think so, he says they just poured out of him.

Take Bowie for example. I was listening to some of his albums last week. With a few notable exceptions, Bowie was at his best, when he was most 'poppy' and accessible. Obviously, your opinions may vary. A lot of the other music listed here was great, but hasn't really stood the test of time for me...

I'm not a musician. I do learn songs/sing (never in public!), and since I started that, I have a much better appreciation of a good song. I mean the song could be done in a style I might hate - but I notice it as a good song - whereas before I started actually learning songs myself, I would have just thought: crap.

I do notice that with musicians - they often chose music that I wouldn't chose, and as a music lover, I wonder why. But I suspect it's like me with the singing - they have an ear for something that I don't have, because I don't understand the music in the way they do.

well today I 'tanked', as they say here :p
I just converted it:

1.56 euros a litre ('Super' 95) = 8 dollars a gallon at today's exchange rates.

In the last while it's usually over 1.60 a litre, got it today cause it was 'cheap'.

1) Esc works well.
2) I dont have a Scroll key on my (qwertz Logitech) keyboard - but I have two 'Insert' keys - and the one near the Pause button works. I'm not crazy about the Insert key as it can change the typing behaviour in my word processor. But it does work.
3) Pause key is taken by mouser's FARR. I've been using Pause for that for years. It's one of the most popular apps here too... What does 'Enable scan' do anyway?
