DonationCoder.com is proud to announce a new program added to our lineup, PopUp Wisdom.

PopUp Wisdom is a fun little program that lives in your system tray and will pop up with little bits of widsom or fun quotes when you need to be inspired.  Some Features:

We will probably be contacting more companies to see if they might be willing to donate some programmer tools as prizes for coders who participate in coding snack projects.  It's always a long shot but i thought we might as well ask you guys+gals if you have any particular software (programming related) that you'd like us to offer as a prize.

Ideally it would be a tool that you could use in a coding snack to make some freeware.

i added a dictionary to the books download page for those who would like to learn words,
but i'd love to add more dictionaries and word lists or various things like that, so please contact me if you have some suitable word lists, etc.

results on my machine:
blocks start button and windows keys and normal keys.

global hotkeys are not blocked though (printscr, break, function keys that i use as global hotkeys)

this "software in the wild" section is also appropriate for what you are posting, but your posts are more full and complete than most, and with screenshot and website and recommendation, they are the kind of little reviews that deserve to be in their own section.  i'm making you honorary member and i hope you will keep making these kinds of posts, they are really nice to read.

so i looked at Instant Thumbnail (http://www.contextmagic.com/) which you said does what you want but isnt the program you are looking for..

i wonder how they do that - it may be super simple to write a similar app.

what exactly about Instant Thumbnail don't you like - besides the fact that it's not free of course.

i know of some tools that show images in the right click properties menu but not any that show image on mouse over, though it does sound useful..

but you know it really does sound like a better solution might be an alternative file browser that has built in support for this, as opposed to the default windows file explorer.

so far we have decided not to take any advertising or do any link exchanging because we want to remain objective and not seem to promote any other sites or software that we don't truly believe in and recommend above all others.

but we have talked about adding a special page to more freeware/donationware author sites than are currently on our links page, which doesn't have room for as many that i would like to list.  what do you think? it would be a special page listing sites that are run by freeware/donationware authors that we like.

i think you are right - at least when the new file name is in the main screenshot directory.
i think the reason i didn't do it that way is in case you save the file in a different directory i didn't want to have screenshot captor change directories.
but i will do it as you say when you save in the same directory - good idea!

next version will have to be called the "brotherS bugfix edition"
