Cruise ship getting a remake - and an extension :tellme:
it's hard to understand if they just cut it apart, or was it desigened to be extensible. Worth watching full screen anyways.

Looks like something you'd find sold through an infomercial.

But wait...there's more! Order right now and you'll get not one, but two Magic Spaghetti Forks for the low price of $19.99!

Just imagine the beginning of it, where they show a series of idiots doing it "the old-fashioned way" and making a big mess, with spaghetti flying all over the place, hitting the walls. Because that's the infomercial's favorite tactic for convincing you that you have been doing things wrong, all your life.
 (see attachment in previous post)

at first I thought it was like one of those screwdrivers that turn when you push - now if I could attach a fork head to one of those...

Hey, is that Glen Hansard of The Frames?

I think he (Glen) and she (Maria?) have a band together. Or at least an album or two. Definitely worth checking out

I lived in Dublin when the Frames were in full swing (the 90's), but never saw them :-[

Heard one of Glen Hansard's albums when passing a record shop a couple of years ago - didnt know who it was, but it prompted me to go in and buy it -

Not sure about the guys, but I am sure the women here can relate, although I have not done anything like this since the 80's, when most jeans did not contain any Lycra. The only thing missing from this video is the coat hanger, to pull up the zipper.  ;D

What interests me about this map is how the lightning is detected from such incredible range. I'm rather interested in finding out how the sensors actually work, since they seem to be able to register South Florida lightning from all the way up in New York.

^ I dont get that... [edit] oops, it does show when I press pagedown to show more results - see the last one on the list below :-[ [/edit]

I did create the 'godmode' shortcuts a while back (and posted about it here somewhere) and put them in a folder checked by FARR. So I do get a selection of network related options:

Clipboard Help+Spell / Re: CHS: Links to Review and Comments - Add yours
« Last post by tomos on June 23, 2014, 04:48 PM »
Surely the program works better than that, but I won't take the time to try to figure it out.  I'm using Ditto as my clipboard, which is also clunky in this area, but it works better "out of the box" than this highly touted Clipboard Help+Spell.
if you are going to use Clipboard Help+Spell,
it is best to go though the options and see what is possible (a lot). Different people are going to want different settings, so if you want a worthwhile app...

You mention ditto:
Ethervane Echo is based on & inspired by Ditto - I like it a lot, but it clashes with an ancient app I need for work, so I gave up on it. Not sure if it's being actively developed any more though.

I use Syncovery, cant say I've ever copied such a large/complex amount, but I'd be surprised if it didnt manage.
Not sure how the free offers would cope.

^agreed

I was trying to find a match schedule based around each group as opposed to an overview.
This one from the Telegraph is good, it's actually a 'predictor':

this one below is a lot more interesting though - http://rasenball.com/ - it's interactive (html5) and seems to have everything you could want:

I have enjoyed the accent tag thing in YouTube in the past
e.g.
Scottish accent
Cajun accent

I generally find that people who 'do' accents are good - until you know the accents very well yourself, when it usually fails...

I feel like I'm being a fussy beggar if I say this, but I cant let it go:
if she's including Irish accents with the video title "British Accents", she may as well throw in American, Canadian, Caribbean, Indian, Australian, and a bunch of others...

Maybe you would have preferred she called it "accents of the British Isles?" :P

dont start me off  ;D

I've been rooting for Germany from the get-go. Today's match was a _complete_ nail-biter... hope you guys caught it.
SO glad Klose equalized in the end or it would have been embarrassing, to say the least. I tend to be pretty obnoxious in my pre-match smack talk... would have had to eat a large portion of humble pie had Germany lost. :P

yeah, they recovered well from their bad patch thankfully :-*
But Ghana played really great
Seen a few really exciting games by now, but that was one of the best.

Spain and England out
Italy looking shakey.
Havent seen any team yet that looks like a clear favourite. Which makes it all the more interesting to see what'll happen

I like having hotkeys for switching between note panels, but I keep switching panels by accident.  The Ctrl+[arrow] key combination is a Windows shortcut for moving forward/backword one word, and my fingers do it without thinking.  (This isn't uncommon...my fingers rarely think before doing anything. :D)

Is this affecting anyone else?

sorry, I suggested that. I've gotten kind-of used to it from Dopus for switching tabs. I didnt think about it's use in text....

if you have an eaby account, you will already have been contacted by them about it happening and changing your password.

oops - I came across it indirectly, did a search but didnt notice that the news reports were from May

@tomos - Which color theme are you referring to? The note color (where the body of the note is) should be lighter than the main color.

in all themes the darker colours are much more difficult to work with I find.
e.g.
from the default theme:

Screenshot - 2014-06-20 , 12_50_48.png

but even this colour is difficult to actually read much of:

EDIT// it's possible you have your monitor at much brighter settings than mine (?) (FWIW mine was roughly correct in this gamma test)

Re the darker note colours: it's difficult to read the text on them.
Could you make the background colour lighter for the darker colours?

(btw I love the default colours )

Are you considering formatting?
Clickable urls would be nice too :)

@tomos - What did you have in mind for a "minibar"?

okay, that one was off the top of my head - I find always-on-top with transparency gets in my way eventually.
Hence the minibarbar idea.

But I think I'd actually prefer one key to close/minimise-to-tray (escape?) and a universal hotkey to bring it up again.

For mouse-people a minibar could be a good idea... reduce window size to shortest possible titlebar:

Screenshot - 2014-06-20 , 10_23_36_ver001.png

(PS & FWIW, running fine here in Win7 x64)

Some suggestions (you've probably considered some of these already):

#1 only show scrollbars when text too long for window
#2 ability to reduce window to an ontop 'minibar'
#3 start with windows (I mean I can set it up - but would be nice to have in-app)
#4 ability to close to tray
#5 escape key to close window (to tray) - *or* to reduce to minibar (#2 above)
