SUPER © 2011 Build 47

http://majorgeeks.com/Super_d5117.html
or
http://www.filehippo.com/download_super/

Edited:
My installer wanted to install a third party program named Registry Reviver. It seems you may need to click "Do NOT install..." even though "install" appears to be unmarked.

WARNING:
You may not want to get build 47 anyway! The installer was unable to download "something", and I was forced to abort installation. So now I have no SUPER © at all!

Living Room / Spaceships A-Z, LEGO
« Last post by Curt on March 13, 2011, 12:38 PM »
Andertoons is obviously quite fun of Star Wars spaceships. So much that he now has made and photographed a copy of each A-Z spaceship! It is not really for me, except for the boyish tech beauty, maybe - I was never a fan of Star Wars or anything newer than Moon Base Alpha - but you may like it, so I thought I would tell about it ;-)

LEGO Alphabet Spaceships A-Z

When I was a kid growing up on Star Wars, I thought the X-wing was the best spaceship I'd ever seen. Of course the Millennium Falcon was great, and goodness knows the good old NCC-1701 was awesome, but the X-wing and its letter inspired brethren the Y-wing and A-wing (what the hell was with the B-wing?! It looked nothing like a B!) were just the coolest.

So later on as I got back into LEGO and was building spaceships I thought revisiting the idea of alphabet shaped ships would be fun.

It's taken me almost two years (I have kids and a job after all), but now I've done all 26 letters of the alphabet in glorious spacey LEGO. Click on each pic to be taken to more pics on Flickr. (BTW, you can download them via the "view all sizes" link in the Flickr light box.)

General Software Discussion / Re: How can I tame Microsoft Speech Recognition?
« Last post by Curt on March 11, 2011, 07:53 PM »
Refer to the Speech Reference Card to learn which commands are available. To access the Speech Reference Card, right click the microphone control bar.

To log bugs, use the instructions on the (June 2007) Microsoft Beta Web site (: 'Windows Live ID' needed). We are also interested in feature requests and general feedback about Speech Recognition.

You may request additional support for Speech Recognition by sending emails directly to the Speech Recognition team at [email protected].

1. WinRAR 4.0 Final Released!

win.rar GmbH and rarlab.com are proud to announce the final version of the new WinRAR 4.0. This is yet another step ahead for the most complete archiving software on the market.

Highlights of Version 4.0

    * RAR decompression speed is improved. Depending on data type, decompression can be up to 30 % faster than in previous versions.

    * A new password manager feature has been added to 4.0. Users can define and save their frequently used passwords with the password organizer function. This way, the passwords can now be applied and retrieved easily and comfortably for file extracting purposes at any time.

    * Numerous Unicode support improvements allow to process non-English file names more smoothly, such as Cyrillic and Chinese ones.

    * WinRAR offers better Blu-ray Support: UDF support has been upgraded to UDF 2.50 revision, now making it possible to unpack most Blue-ray ISO files.

The whole list of all improved items and fixed bugs can be found here:

-your scepticism is justified, Paul; I said it wrongly - eBoostr will not use the "C" drive. But I have two internal harddrives, and eBoostr will use the secondary drive ("D"). This is much faster than using the external drives.

Is IrfanView still shipping (well, downloading) with an old version of RIOT, so that you have to go to the RIOT site and download the current one from there and install over it, or is it now up to date?

According to IrfanView's homepage, plugins in general should be up to date, but RIOT is not specifically mentioned, so I don't know, and, forgive me, since I don't compress (image dimensions are much more demanding to the computer / monitor, than size), I don't bother to look. It is version 0.3.3.0
 :tellme:

http://www.software....nview-plugins-9374-1

Edited:
The default RIOT 0.3.3.0 plugin in IrfanView is a lite version, not an old version per definition. RIOT's "extended" plugin for IrfanView (uses a modified version of FreeImage.dll also) is version 0.46, and is not part of the default package. But maybe that was what you meant.

thanks for telling, sajman99. I always use IrfanView for downsizing my pictures, but never for a second did I stop to wonder if it was done by IrfanView itself or by a plugin. RIOT is installed (comes with the default plugin's exe), but do you know if I have to activate it, (in some hidden way), or is the resizing per defintion done by RIOT?

I first forgot this and was just about to write a very impatient email. Luckily I remembered in time, when I surfed their site for the address ;-)

Beware. This program caused my XP to hang when I restarted.
I guess this program is java based that's why it is taking resources and hangs irrespective of how much RAM you've on machine.

No Java.

But maybe the external drive is reading a little too slow?:

Edited: you may find an improvement if you use the internal drive instead.

Earlier versions of Serif PagePlus were criticised for not handling PDF files properly (or at all), but "now" Serif is making a big noise about the "new" (almost half a year old) PagePlus X5's PDF capabilities:
