i'm guessing there is a very lightweight tiny program on the web to do this, hopefully someone will find it for you.
i am curious to know how well this works for you however; like i said i could add this feature to the new minicap utility which is a lot smaller than screenshot captore, but it's not nearly as small as a program would be made just for this purpose.

see options below for how to configure autocapture, then just engage it from system tray.

« Last post by mouser on January 23, 2006, 04:11 AM »
i've *finally* found the cause of this strange vertical color bars problem (thanks db), and should have it fixed soon.

it has to do with a call to set brush color, which can occur when applying a simple black border, either directly or throught the new thumbnail creator.  there may be other cases where it is triggered as well.

Developer's Corner / Why's (Poignant) Guide to Ruby
« Last post by mouser on January 23, 2006, 01:35 AM »
a programmer who just sent me ruby code for mircryption told me about this link to a creative common's licensed book on the Ruby programming language: http://poignantguide.net/ruby/

it's a truly inspired, wacky, eccentric, lovingly written book with off-topic sidebars and wonderful cartoons.

if only all programming books were so wonderful.

[ps. i'm not a big fan of ruby but i still loved browsing through the online book]

General Software Discussion / Re: Open/Save Dialog Extenders for Corel Apps
« Last post by mouser on January 22, 2006, 12:59 PM »
file-ex has a way of being trained to handle nonstandard dialogs; they even mention corel dialogs:
http://www.cottonwoodsw.com/fx3tips.html

Corel applications (Word Perfect, Ventura, DRAW, etc.)
Most versions of Corel applications don't use the "common" file dialogs, but some use dialogs that look close enough to the common ones to File-Ex that they are enhanced automatically. In some cases, this doesn't work because of the minor differences, so File-Ex needs to be trained for them anyway. For simple training instructions, see the help file.

Screenshot Captor / Re: new version e-mail alert
« Last post by mouser on January 22, 2006, 12:54 PM »
i think brotherS has the main things covered, i didn't even think about the fileforum idea.
if you really want email reports, the feedblitz thread now has a simple signup url where you can subscribe to get daily email digests of this forum, or with a little effort you can create your own email digests of particular sections of the forum.

you might also look into an rss feed reader which will alert you on new information, and you could use that to monitor specific sections of the forum.

a program like website watcher could also be used to monitor specific pages for changes - monitoring the screenshot captor webpage or the releases webpage would alert you when there has been a change/newversion.

check this thread: https://www.donation...dex.php?topic=1092.0
i think you've got a service disabled that is needed in order to monitor processes.

from that thread:
I think I've found the cause of the problem, I use XPlite to remove components I don't use, one component is 'Performance Monitor' if I reinstall that using XPlite, ProcessTamer works, so yeah like you say most likely some DLL issue.
