What I like best (next to the powerful keyboard shortcuts that are similar to those in Google Mail) is that you can set it to send you IM reminders (ICQ, AIM, ...) when a task is due.

That's the feature that was most appealing to me. I simply won't use it's interface, i intend only to e-mail it my tasks and it'll notify me through msn messenger. that's neat :D

May i ask for a small change in this new feature?
I use the "stop search on exact alias match" option, and as i see it, this new feature was implemented by making the editbox come up with predefined text.
My problem is that, because i don't have that options selected, the whole alias comes up but farr continues searching, which makes it lag when launched :(

Could this new feature force the "stop search on exact alias match" option for that first search?

Yes, that alias works with gerome's calculator.

I've just seen this new version. I love the way it doesn't overwrite the folders anymore! :D
There's only one small glitch: could you make it not overwrite files if the archive only contains one file?

I also love the new gui to drop files, good idea!  :Thmbsup:

If you want to try this for yourself, create a place where there are no distractions...nothing interesting that you can use to avoid your tasks. Put everything you need to complete your most procrastinated task there, some sort of timer, and nothing more.

I've tried your idea too, that's why i consider that instantboss is fantastic for me. My only problem is that all the work i have to get done is stuff in my computer, which means it is in the exact same place where i get distracted and there's no "phisical" way to escape.
My only solution to this is to use instantboss and make an enormous effort not to do anything other than work and stop working in the defined moments.
But...

after the novelty period has worn off you'll start to avoid the room(s) where the task takes place

Notice that the solution i presented above is a complete program. You download the ".exe" version, execute it and it'll display an icon on the tray (which should be in the right corner of the screen). To quit it, just right-click the icon and select "exit".

It's bad that the author who did them doesn't get any recognition and the guy who collected them gets lots of bandwidth use (which could mean money revenue, if he had ads on the page)

Mine is a widescreen, and i love this one... If you could make "beach" widescreen, i'd be most pleased, since it'd become my wallpaper january 2006 :P (until then, i'll use the ones you posted before ;))

I have tried to do this in ahk (it's about 10 lines of code), but my first experiment didn't work, possibly because of a, ahk bug (or i'm really dumb).
I'll post in the ahk forum the info about this to see if i get any response.

Similar to unix's "touch", sets the modified time of files to the current time.

I think that lanux128 raized a good point, maybe it could have a gui (that would only appear if some command line flag was activated) to be able to decompress the file to a place different from its current dir.

Unfortunatelly, it suffers from the same problem google search does. It is indexed, which means that posts that were made after the indexing don't appear on the results. Here's an example:

(which should only work for some time)

Thanks to lanux, i refound this topic.
Here's the new alias i use for the calculator, which allows you to input maths directly without having to prepend the calculation with "calc" or "+" as i had in my previous example.
