1-) If the user messes up the order of windows or change the state of that particular app it wont work, one needs to run PinToDesktop again and again.

I'll add a timer :-)

2-) The Window name and ahk class name is not enough in some cases. For example I just tried with Thunderbird and both thunderbird and firefox has same class name. Secondly The window title of Thunderbird changes based on which email inbox you have open.
Same as #1, only needs to get the hwnd once.

So I am really hoping that there is a way to keep an application on the desktop while rest of the apps can be minimized without destroying their window states and sizes.

Try PinToDesktop :)

usage: pintodesk windowname/classname

example: pintodesk Untitled - Notepad

note: no quotes
use the tray icon to exit!

So how exactly do I do this? and what is this app you speak of?

Basically, it records from Soundcard 1 Stereo Mix and plays it back to Soundcard 2.
There's a small delay involved, but it works.

Also, I think Virtual Audio Cable might do the job just fine for you.

How do I use the codes?

On Firefox, there's a bookmark bar.
Right click on an empty space, click on New Bookmark. Write a name, and in Address paste the code for the version you want to use. Click add.
Done. Now when you want to read comfortably, click on the newly created button.

Should work on IE too, but haven't tested since my IE's JS is f'd up.

After reading several articles on Wikipedia I had to seriously rest my eyes; websites aren't meant to be stared at that long. So I'm wondering if there exists an application that "lowers the lights" or adjusts the contrast of your average website, making it easier to read lengthy websites. Is this pure fantasy, or is there something out there that does this?

What about my bookmarklet?
It's based on the Zap Annoyances collection, but with a few enhancements.

Could you add sound recorder feature to teddy?

To record samples, or to record what you play?

hmm, on my version only soundbanks 1 & 0 work even if I use "Switch Soundbank" button :(

Any thoughts..looks like a cool little app.

It's by design. App only comes with two soundbanks to keep the download small. You can make your own, and I'll upload some more soon. Check Teddy\SAMPLES directory.

Jellyfish Stack
a better way to copy files

screenie.PNG

Instructions

    • When you send a file to the stack (Right click, send to, stack) it gets Pushed into it.
    • When you send a FOLDER to the stack, the main UI shows up, and you can select what files to copy to the folder you just pushed.
    What's new in v1.1?
      • Minor bug fixed.
      • Added XP style manifest.
      What's new in v1.0?
        • App is born.
        Have fun!

        Download

(VB6 runtimes required on Windows 9x/NT/2000)
        Also requires Microsoft Scripting.

(Plus for some weird reason I never figured out, if you "explore" the start menu to make it easier to drag & drop stuff you never seem to get all the folders.)

I bet it's All Users / Current User drama.

        I'll give it a shot.
