Google Earth.
It may be a precious tool for people who like excursions, because it allows to find out new paths.

Digital photography.

I was fond of photography when it was analogic. Every time I brought my dear films to be printed/reprinted, I almost always got bad prints. The same photograph could result once reddish, once brown, once too bright, once too dark, once clipped in its frame. After five years of tribulations I left that damn crappy hobby.
Be damned for eternity all those xxxxxxxx who destroyed my desire to photograph.

Digital photography seems fine instead.

Scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit

As far as I know rootkits are really beasts, therefore to feel me secure I prefer to use/consult more anti-rootkits (besides Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit is still a Beta version...).

They all have strengths and weaknesses

I don't understand mankind. If every browser has strengths and weaknesses, and if those features are worldwide known, why nobody gathers the best of every browser and creates an almost perfect one????????

(of course this applies to every product, not only browsers)

The pop-ups appeared today... after I had used Windows System Restore

I wonder if there is a link between the two facts.
Has perhaps Windows System Restore recalled a system that was already infected?

Before I deleted Java... I was getting Java Update pop-ups here at DC each time I clicked a blue link

It's not clear: did those pop-ups appear even after you used the antimalware programs? (Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and SpeedMaxPc)

I always enjoy jokes about the use/misuse of statistics and numbers

35% of car accidents are caused by drunken people.
It means that 65% of car accidents are caused by sober people.
Therefore, in the name of safety, drive when you are drunken.

Before I deleted Java... I was getting Java Update pop-ups here at DC each time I clicked a blue link.  They looked like the same version I already had and made me suspicious so I *Canceled* each one... and then the links I clicked would open.  They stopped after the uninstall.  I guess these were fake updates?  Malware?  :tellme:

Thanks to your caution I believe you have avoided some malware:

CRT monitors.
Those crappy LCD monitors show beautiful images if we stay perfectly in front of them, but if we move from the central position those images become darker. CRT monitors have not such drawbacks.
Long live CRT monitors.

Name 1 Technological Feature That You Think Is Good
Do you refer to the last few years only or there is not a limit of time?
