If the data is not available as a download, you can either use scraping to get at it, or try to find other resources with equivalent content...

I usually keep an eye (in a separate Tab of course) on that page to see all recent forum posts

What is that? Is there a link to current members online or something?
Sure, the 'frontpage' of the forum, bottom of the page, here's a sample of just now:

Hm, pity they don't ship outside of USA/Canada :(
3080
Oh, and why for learning to program? I already know how to do that (in several ways) 8)

This is just great fun (and quite affordable, too)

Now to find out if and how long it will take to ship to Europe

Something or someone pulled him over, thanks for that!

Why would you want to limit that request to AutoHotKey apps?
And there are several other threads on most used/useful apps already ;D

Then ask you boss/manager what he wants you to do: work, and be able to work undisturbed/continuously, or several times a week sit and wait until some silly process/tool is done with 'examining' your working tools?

A carpenter doesn't get his hammer and saw checked a few times a week to see if he hasn't killed hurt anyone with it, does he?

You should drop the PC on the sysadmins desk shouting it's unusable in this way, and they HAVE to do something about it. And take at least 5 more colleagues with you to impress them a bit.

It's absolutely unacceptable to get this kind of stuff pushed down our throats by these monopolistic monsters :(

I hope the underlying message is clear :-[

I was thinking it might be a bit clearer if there were some border around the buttons or if the buttons were displayed more like a vanilla toolbar

Run Android on an HTPC!
Hm, WinButtons doesn't run on Android, and there will be no need for an 'AndButtons', they're called Widgets in Android speak :)
The last 'Android on x86' seems to be pretty up to date, but I'm not up to speed on that project.

If you let it shrink all the way to 0 it will open a black hole on your desktop and a thousand real life LOLCats will pour out and be your friends for life.

And I guestimate that will happen somewhere around the summer holidays :P

Living Room / Re: Can you read this?
« Last post by Ath on April 30, 2011, 03:46 AM »
It seems to work best for English texts, other languages (even my primary) doen't read as easy as English when mangled up like this.

Developer's Corner / Re: New Twist on Basic
« Last post by Ath on April 29, 2011, 03:25 PM »
I wasn't hitting on anyone, and put my (personal) verdict in a spoiler to be a little less public (to avoid any possible offense) about that. But I guess it wasn't subtle enough.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my message.

Had a quick look at the MB site, but did not see much to get a better view of the product. They promise a small exe size, no runtime dependencies, but I already have that. With AutoIt3 or AutoHotKey. And 'modular with new commands'? What that? No explanation found, and the More Information link? Directly to the forum index, but no info.
And they still want money for it? I'll keep my (personal) verdict the same.

Or grab a copy of the (free) Visual Studio Express Edition. That has a quite modern flavor of basic, and C#. It's not small, and requires a runtime installed. But it's still free, and has quite awesome support.

I'll pass on this one, thanks.

No offense.

Living Room / Re: So I got an HTC Arrive

And it came with headphones ... Which I have no idea wtf to do with
You're supposed to treat it like a luxurious/expensive MP3 player, that happens to double-take as a phone :P

that's an Android? Either way, if it has Swype
Nope, it's WinPhone 7 (it's aka HTC 7 Pro), and no Swype available (yet)

I've previously never had a "Smart Phone", just getting to the board
What made you decide to go for a Windows Phone 7 device?

Looks just like a kind of merger of AutoIt3 and AutoHotKey to me,
my verdict
I see no reason to pop out $21.95 for that

Living Room / Re: So I got an HTC Arrive
« Last post by Ath on April 26, 2011, 05:23 PM »
That's why I too got one with a 'real' keyboard (Motorola Milestone / Droid), but experienced that I have to keep my thumb's nails in just the right shape to press the keys reliably. And you are IMHO a tad advantaged by the slightly better layout of the HTC keyboard. Quick it will probably never go...

Living Room / Re: Easiest laptop (brand) to take apart ?
« Last post by Ath on April 26, 2011, 03:57 PM »
Wouldn't it be feasible to try one of the bto (build to order) laptop suppliers? Usually they assemble some crucial parts at the last stage, just before delivery, so it's quite possible that these machines are easier to dismantle than the 'far-east' produced (and optimally never to be opened) laptops.

You could contact a few and see what they have to offer. (Google should give you better hints then I can, me being in the GMT+1 timezone  ;))

and numerous sites carry them

That's the price you pay when you make great stuff, like you do :-*

But now I've got more time to make up my mind

Thanks Miles!
