i've added the "dolaunch" command to FARR (not yet uploaded) that will let you trigger a result as soon as it matches, without user having to hit enter.

All well and good, and a step in the right direction, but there remains a need to type something.
Isn't it time that you made FARR anticipate what I want it to do and then just do it?

1.0.15 is out.

SpellChecker preview font now follows code editor.

I have also added simple status bar :)

Which control do you have in mind? "Text being checked"?
Would following font set for editor be enough for you?

If yes, I'll see what can I do.
-fenixproductions (June 05, 2009, 05:21 PM)

Indeed, "Text being checked". That's the most difficult part for me to read at my screen res. I can pretty much work out "Suggestions" by word shapes, without having to read those carefully. Anything you can do would be much appreciated

Hi fenixproductions.
I think I know the answer but have you any way to make text in the spelling checker a larger size?

General Software Discussion / Re: Odd Install Message
« Last post by cranioscopical on June 03, 2009, 06:54 AM »
It's a common thing to find this with an installer.
The installation will just copy some files to a backup folder instead of simply overwriting the existing versions of them.
That way, if you decide to uninstall the program the uninstaller can put those files back.
Not something to worry about as long as you're checking freeware etc. for viruses.

Even worse than being asked again all the questions you've just answered by typing them in on a phone (old klutz fingers here hates using phones for that) is getting a recorded message saying they are not there anyway!

You get a message? Lucky devil!

I get 25 minutes of the worst canned 'music' known to man, periodically interrupted by a recorded voice telling me that my call is really important to them, the proof of which comes with the dial tone that follows.  Go to step A.

Telephone based services where, upon connection, an automated system collects ALL details -- account #s, name, address, phone etc. -- and then connects you (after a  little phone-pad fandango) to a human who proceeds to ask you for account #s, name, address, phone etc.

I can help with that. Send your money directly to me and I will not give you any software in return. That way, you can be annoyed without having to go through those tiresome intermediate steps.

mm if I have not numeric keypad (laptop keyboard) it won't work by typing it in the number keys in row above the letters?

No, it won't work that way.

You could use Insert menu/Symbol
The symbol palette that appears has a button that will let you assign a shortcut key to 'type' whatever symbol is selected in the palette.

You could use that until someone more proficient that I gives you a better answer (I don't use Word if I can help it).
