I was wondering if I really can run Malwarebytes together with Outpost Security Suite's anti-malware part?
I have registered at MBAM's forum  and asked the same question there.
-Curt

Considering that MBAM is what's called a passive anti-malware, it should not conflict with Outpost.

I used OutPost Security Suite free for a bit and they worked just fine together.

vruf! vruf!

I don't know how to spell it in English but my computer keeps saying vruf! all the time. Turns out I had WinPatrol installed in May 2010, so it just wants to know if this, this, this, this and this change really is okay...

------

Regarding Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO ["Mb"]. cyberdiva said she is using Mb together with other security programs, and I was surprised, because Outpost specific tells me that I can only run 1 anti-malware at a time. But I see on Mb's homepage that the Mb features include: "Works Well With Others", so I was wondering if I really can run Malwarebytes together with Outpost Security Suite's anti-malware part? Of course I can tell Outpost to leave the anti-malware-job to Mb, but that is not what I mean. I mean, can they scan side-by-side?
Does any one know if this is possible?  :tellme:

I was looking for a PDF editor .... So I downloaded ... Foxit PDF Editor 2.2
The non-crippled version has a purchase price of $99.

It has been less than 3 months, but already the $99 Foxit version 2.2 is gone and has been replaced by a $129 Foxit PhantomPDF Standard or a $199 PhantomPDF Business. For editing, they recommend the Business model.

I don't understand why you keep updating Vista, it is not being updated with new features or anything really important. If you security programs are good, you need not to update Vista at all.

I get confused when I read all these "the first program I install on a new pc"-praises, because I will automatically ask (myself) if they don't have proper security programs. I believe that various security suites are promising to handle the exact same items that WP+ is handling, and then some. Or am I not seeing an important difference?

I too have a key for WP+, but don't have the progam installed. If you care to, please tell what good I can use WinPatrol+ for, when I already have Outpost Security Suite (and AnVir Task Manager Pro and Chameleon Startup Manager) running? I am not sure if I even can have them running at the same time.

Yeah, the $100 Nuance at $10 would make a jaw drop. However, a program from Wondershare is usually not a "highly regarded third party, equivalent to Adobe Acrobat" - not even a $80 converter for $10 - so you probably confused the names.

Don't over-interpret me; the program's quality is just fine. Plain and simple, but okay.

forgive me for saying so, but...   that would just be you!  :P

Wondershare is a trade company. I am not too sure they develop much themselves, but they offer a multitude of converters. AnyBizSoft is just one of their many co/sub-companies.

This offer is a "code 3" discount, meaning it does not give the right to upgrade with an otherwise normal discount.

Today, Wednesday July 20, 2011: Ellié Computing - Merge Up To 3 Files, Images, and Folders

Today 51% OFF at Bits du Jour

http://www.bitsdujou...lli-computing-merge/

Standard/Pro comparison chart

Ellie computing has offered several different versions that can be viewed by hitting the buy now button. A pop -up window shows the versions and the prices. Please note that the windows or mac standard version is just $14.70. Also please read the older comments, particularly the wiki link for comparisons with other software.
Comparison and merge programs can save hours of time(usually frustrating time). For those that work with multiple copies of revised documents, IMHO $14.70 is a bargain.

Ellié Computing Merge
Merge Up To 3 Files, Images, and Folders

If you've lived with your data for a long time, chances are you've accumulated quite a collection of duplicate files, images, even entire folders. Actually, if they were true duplicates, it would be easy enough to just delete a copy, but life has to be complicated, and so these files, images, and folders are ALMOST the same, but not quite. That's where Ellié Computing Merge steps in and makes your world a much better place!

Ellié Computing Merge makes it easy to compare and merge document files, images, and folders, and does so using an intuitive visual interface. With Ellié Computing Merge, not only can you compare up to three files and folders, you'll enjoy the benefit of super-fast comparisons thanks to the power of multithreading! All differences are highlighted for your easy reference, and it's a cakewalk navigating from one difference to the next. With the ability to generate reports in a variety of formats, Ellié Computing Merge is as appropriate for large teams of people as it is for individuals! Plus, Ellié Computing Merge can compare and merge files over local networks, FTP, and within source code repositories!

Edited:

Portable installation

Ellié Computing Merge now supports so called "portable installation". In this sentence portable refers to the fact of being 'portable in your pocket', e.g. in a USB drive. Portable installation works on all systems but is actually easy to handle only on Windows, if you want portable installation on other OS please read the full explanation at the bottom of this page.

Ellié Computing Merge supports this through a simple two-step installation:

Install ECMerge the standard way as explained in the other entries
Create a directory called "portable-settings" in the directory that you chose to install ECMerge.

That's all! From that point, Merge will save all the user information (settings, workspaces, sessions...) in that directory.

The normal user licence permits this usage.

I don't remember any new features...

An application like Click Cutter is very useful, regarding auto-copy&paste. However, it has been several years, since I last tried it - I don't know if it will work on a 64-bits; it *looks* as if it hasn't been updated since XP.

-yes, version 8.
Upgrading to Babylon 9 / Oxford 9 seems to be $65 / $71

@cyberdiva: If you (use an extension to) auto-copy any dbl-clicked word, you would just have to paste that word into your translation box. It would be a time saver, I think.

You sure took your time to make your first post, so a very belated Welcome! here at DC :-)

Which browser do you use? Babylon promised that they would write me when Babylon was fit for IE9 and FF4. Now we have FF5 coming and I still haven't heard from Babylon.

I am getting used to WordWeb Pro, but I would prefer to use Babylon.
