This is what I see for Reply #49

My prime candidate for fix is:

hiding the auto complete window when typing more letters and no accordances are found.

Fixed, coming up in the next build.

They're guesstimating. But it's probably close enough.

Well, surveys do say 84.23478% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

You're rounding, aren't you? :)

Yep :D

Studies show that 92.589% of people who give statistics round to the nearest 23748749894th decimal place.

Being fiction, and going off his own memory, I guess it would be hard to recall every single event...

Do you mean it's fiction or non-fiction? Or is it a fictionalization of real events? I read Andy McNabb's first couple of books and enjoyed them, but never got the impression that they were factual.

Well, according to him, everything in the book actually happened, so i am somewhat inclined to believe him, although some of the stuff in the book makes you wonder whether he would be allowed to publish under the Secrets Act.

Who knows

And yeah, I meant non-fiction...always get that the wrong way around (non-fiction being based on actual events)

Is that 1.97billion connected households and businesses?  Surely they cant know how many people use each connection.

Feels like I missed quite a few fiery threads here on DC in the past, but just recently there have been one or two instances that seem to me to contravene the spirit of the site.

I think you handled the one situation that I saw a lot better than I would have.  There are some who are just abrasive, some intentionally, and some not.  I haven't always handled it in the best manner, especially when someone is trying to show that they are smarter than you at your expense.  Or some that obviously post under sock puppets.  But in the end, DC is a very good environment, and the ability to be a douche if you take advantage of the environment is one of the reasons- only extreme situations are really policed.

Who you calling a douche  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(   :wallbash:

I DEMAND RESPECT!

lmfao...just playin;

Yeah, some people can just be plain *insert own opinion* and dont seem to like to help people, or play nice with others...these are generally the people who you see posting "Go google it" or "RTFM!"

This is why, when I write long posts (on those rare occasions), I type it all up in notepad first :D

Well, I now feel like an abused puppy...

The book was pretty awesome, but it felt like he got bored towards the end and tried to wrap it all up in 4 pages for no apparent reason.

Nice plot turn but felt a little rushed in places.

Being fiction, and going off his own memory, I guess it would be hard to recall every single event, but he managed to get 300+ pages out of it, so im sure he could have made the ending feel you suddenly got shot in the eye

I think the one its linked to (bigger version) is perfect to work with tbh, and if you dont mind, i'm going to have a play with it hehe

Have fun~! (There are many more there if you feel like playing with anything -- some interesting ones too. -- some cool spiders from Cambodia, etc. etc.)

I love working on photos for people, and have spent a whole bunch of time doing 'touch-ups' for a few friends, getting rid of blemishs in photos and stuff/people they dont want in it lol.

Moving away from the scaling, I think the lighting on mine could have been a whole lot better, if it was ever going to pass as a viable 'fraud' lol

Are any of the games any good?

Not knowing your taste...I couldnt answer that...I could say they are amazing, and you dont like a single one lol.

Ok it was a bit of a loaded question. :-[

I just did a quick scroll through and saw things like "snake" and "minesweeper" so that left me feeling a bit unmoved.

Some may enjoy...didnt find any appeal in the games myself...tried snake...couldnt see the point markers, so just moved around, and apparently hit one...dunno if its cause i was using Opera...you would think it would warn me if so

Mozilla labs has just posted the entries for their GameOn competition which invited people to create games using html5 and new web technologies.

You can now play all of the games in the competition!

Game On 2010 is Mozilla Labs' first international gaming competition. Game On is all about games built, delivered and played on the open Web and the browser.

n56907.jpg

In British military intelligence, deniable operations is the most dangerous tightrope you can walk. Ex-SAS man, Nick Stone, has no choice in the matter. He may be tough, resourceful, ruthless, highly trained, but he still must do what his masters want, whatever that might be.

Sarah Greenwood is beautiful, steel-willed, intelligent, cunning - the only woman Stone has ever let under his guard. And now he's been sent to hunt her down...

As the pair are pursued through the backwoods of the American South, Stone's mission becomes a deadly game of cat and mouse, and a journey to the heart of a terrifying conspiracy to which only Sarah holds the key. And as the tension builds to breaking point, the two are led to a confrontation that echoes our worst nightmares.

Only about 4 pages into it, but as always, Andy starts with some good humour, which is always fun, and grips you into the story as much as all his other books :)

What could be an efficient way to filter our very own web experience?

Just a thought.

Making your own search engine, running on its own code, nothing re-used :) - That way, YOU filter what content appears.

(Im speaking in general terms, not just aiming at you Tux)
