General Software Discussion / Re: Two : 1. GPS offline 2. Free Document Generator
« Last post by Contro on April 22, 2021, 12:34 PM »At the present moment I am not clear how I can do the offline use of my GPS.

Contro do you have "Here We Go" maps installed? This app downloads the maps ahead of time. I do not know if it has Canary Islands however I can verify that the app works well. I have a couple of phones with no sim card and the maps work great. Very handy if you are "away from the grid" or if you are in a huge crowd and everyone else got all the cell connections before you.The point is that wikiloc is the web I know for walking routes.-x16wda (April 22, 2021, 05:52 AM)
With a little more research I did found this link.I'll try and comment

I am doing that everyday in my works. Mostly I take a screenshotHave you ever heard of the ancient artefact that us older folks call: "A Map"?-Stephen66515 (April 22, 2021, 03:29 AM)
Only good if you know how to find yourself on it, which, oddly enough, most people don't these days.
@contro: Any app that can use offline map data, this includes Google Maps.
Google Maps->Menu->Offline Maps->Select Your Own Map->Select the area->Download.
Most other offline map apps will use OpenStreetMaps.-4wd (April 22, 2021, 04:33 AM)
Have you ever heard of the ancient artefact that us older folks call: "A Map"?Yes I did, but I prefer a GPS offline where I can upload a wikiloc route.-Stephen66515 (April 22, 2021, 03:29 AM)

Hola Contro! If you get stuck in your search, I can make you a quickie program just for this purpose
The quickest would be to simply generate an HTML or RTF file for you to print, if that suffices.

Try this search: DuckDuckGo: directory file lister. Note that the hits include a "10 Free Tools..." page and a "27 Best Free..." pageThanks rjbull.
There's also DirList
If none of those, nor the FileListCreator that you mentioned, do an adequate job, then you may have to consider payware, e.g. Directory Lister by KRKsoft.-rjbull (March 29, 2021, 03:14 PM)
