If paypal didn't pay me like they should, I would quit them too.
It would be like giving them your work or money with no return.

i guess my point was the edit in my other post
took the long scenic route :)

Yes, I know wraith, I had to be prepared for extended periods of time with no income or work. Sometimes I was and sometimes I was not. Or to spend the time and money preparing and getting to a job, only to be turned down due to a customer's whim or weather or some other reason. Or doing a large job that takes a couple of weeks and to wait, minimum, 30 days for payment. Here in the usa, the best advertisement is by way of the yellow pages, (for my type of work) and they know it, very expensive. Word of mouth happened a lot, but the phone rang more via the yellow pages.

edit- and yeah I got burned on a few jobs for a substantial amount of money, not many times but enough to demand cash in advance from certain types of corporations, or avoid them completely

As a seller or buyer one should not let paypal have direct access to your bank account.
At least, if you have too, set up an account just for paypal use.
Other then that use paypal through a credit card.
Then you can dispute any transaction with paypal and your credit card company.
It's in the rules of all credit cards (that I know of) that you can hold up any payment for a certain amount of time in order to settle any dispute.

And yes I have sold things through paypal, but not a car, lol, or anything that much.
I did not know you could buy a car through paypal, too big of a risk either way

The seller taking some risk, evens it a little.
It's usually the buyer who is at risk and the greater risk.

I'm not for underhanded transactions from either.

%numinc%, better if you delete various shots
%num%, if you don't

I'm thinking that's the difference mainly...

edit-
I see what you mean about resetting the "Auto Incrementing Number" field back to 1.
Since %numinc% increases that number and %num% does not.

You can use %num% for 3 digit numbering.

I configured the program to display the main window after doing a "grab selected region".

Most of the times the main window displays just the captured image (which is the expected result) but in certain cases an area is already selected. Seems to be that it happens when I select a region which is not in the center of the screen but nearer to the edges.

Found this one. In 'Post Capture Options' uncheck 'Auto Select Active Window'.
308
cool, thanks mouser
it's not a big deal to me, but i thought you would want to know
309
yes i'll do another, i've deleted all those tests

sent by way of hotmail-
the caption came out gray on the ones with no text, for some reason

yes, here is how to do it
In the 'File Naming Template' option, 'Default New File Name' insert "%quickfield%" without the quotes. In the main window, in the 'File Name QuickField' put the name you want for your file, it will automatically start numbering as you add more to the folder.

I hope I didn't bring this up for nothing.
I just thought it should save with saving inside of SC.
Last night I didn't think of save image as, I hardly ever use it.
Just save to the screenshot folder within SC and move on.
'Save image as' will save to any folder, of course...
312
"Save copy of Image as" will keep the caption and text. control + e
But not control + s, or, shift + control + s.
'save' and 'save as new version'
313
can anyone else reproduce this or just me
314
allright, i just downloaded and installed the beta again
checked the box to reset all settings in the install

rt click tray icon
select grab selected region
pop up dialog selection-save image and show
clicked the add image caption button on right
double click thumbnail in left hand column

photo gallery is my default viewer
315
flattening also removed the 'obects' file
316
and here-the actual file
317
here-
318
ahh, ok-
under objects-
flatten all objects to background

That will make it viewable.
319
the whole thing, caption and text will copy and paste into my word processor
320
yes-there is a png object file that will not upload though-
321
pfft-stupid me, found it, doh
same result in zoner my external editor
322
where is that command?
323
no, I opened it via the windows explorer and SC's right left hand explorer

let me open it that way and see...
324
here is the shots
neither text or caption area showed in Infranview
I just shot with grab selected region and added the caption. (part of my computer background)
I didn't change any transparency.

edit-I saved normally and with using quick save as new version too, same results
325
ok i'll do it, hope it's me and not a bug though
