Yeah, I thought that was a real tip of the hat to Perry and 4wd, when a reviewer notes that great proofreading has occurred!

My rates just went up  :P

BTW, you should update your OP in this thread.

I'm reading the Help for Sigil. So far, it seems like a very decent ebook-authoring tool.

But the real question is: Does it munge the export ?

4wd, hold off on any further editing.

No problem, I'll just note them for V2.

We still have the latest epub on Gdocs, scrutinizing, pruning...

I've found a few more if you want to go look, start at chapter 25, (yes, I'm reading it backwards - amazing what you find when the flow of the story no longer matters).

Just got first fan mail. A lady wanting the sequel NOW.  ;D

Hey, your wife doesn't count  :P

@40hz, your name will be included under Proofreader's in "Acknowledgments" in next upload.

A little late, but this walks into a funny little joke!
Can you spot the proofreading mistake in that sentence?
:P

Yes, it should be 40Hz, but I blame 40 for that  :P

hehe, no ... That only happens on TV. Besides, by the time that call goes out I'll be sitting on the porch waiting for them.

Think more laterally: gang = people in picture

Given today's USA, is it more likely to be a street gang or the nice folks in the picture crashing through the door uninvited?

I just watched about 18 episodes of "Doc Martin". (British version of House.)

Technically: House, USA version of Doc Martin.

I only use it things I might want to access remotely and syncing of some software between machines:

For things that it doesn't matter if someone else can access: ADrive (free 50GB), Box.net (free 50GB+25GB)

Everything else is encrypted: SpiderOak (free 2GB), Tresorit (free 50GB)

So out of a possible 177GB I use about 5GB :)

That's nice, but I was thinking more:

Knock Knock.jpg

SJ:   "I'm at number 21, there's a gang breaking into my house!"
911: "We'll have officers there in seconds sir. Now, if you could please remain calm and lie do-"
SJ:   "Wait, did you say seconds?"

Oh... Did I mention it's a wireless monitored alarm system...so it'll dial 911 for me ... That way I can concentrate on aiming.. ;)

It's just too bad that it's the guys standing on the front porch that'll get the call.

K, you need to check your manuscript, either due to a misedit or the import into GDocs screwed up, timecode 2283-07-14T09:31-5:00, Sewage Treatment Cavern occurs too early in the book.

I've marked it on GDocs.

UK has used them for years to automatically check whether the vehicle is registered, roadworthy, and insured, (all three are required before you can legally drive it on a public road, providing you have a license also).

The only thing they have to do is not delete the data, I'm surprised this is 'new' news.

Another vote for NameCheap, they had a special around Christmas where you could transfer your domains to them for ~$3 each, (IIRC), and they threw in an extra year of registration.

I apologize to Perry and 4wd for going ahead and working on the manuscript, because I'd said I'd pause until we caught up with proofing the existing material. But when inspiration struck, I had to get it written while it was fresh in my mind. Hope my two proofreaders will forgive me.

No need, I was going to tell you to keep going today ;)

It's also better this way due to the time difference, another reason that it would have good to have someone from USA/EU also.

The IE version I try this on (8, may be?) doesn't seem to support POST-based things and that's all I seem to turn up at Mycroft Project.  Any success stories?

Startpage will also provide a GET based URL for your searches.  Go to Startpage->Settings and uncheck the following:
