Ok... The file i attached to this post is supposed to work. But i can't test it, has i don't have 2 monitors (right now).
If you already have ahk already installed, you only have to download it and run it.
Also, if you would please invent a name for it, i'd be pleased :)
(yeah, i have a hard time at finding names for programs :) )

Living Room / Re: Knology Connection Speed Test
« Last post by jgpaiva on February 15, 2007, 04:14 PM »
Well... I just tested kernel.org and got bad results (something around 100kb/s).
From darkstar which is my university's mirror, i get something around 600kb/s with opera.
I also get itunes from apple's server at 600kb/s. (notice that i HATE itunes, i just chose it because it was the first large download that came to mind)

f0dder: you think that's bad? I'm on a 24mpbs/400kbps line. Here are my results:

(notice that my line is "up to 24mpbs",i only really have something like 10mbps usually)

« Last post by jgpaiva on February 15, 2007, 03:30 PM »
this isn't really of much help but i can snap windows on top of each other - i'm not running vista but i wouldn't have thought that to be the problem.
Yeah, I'm also not sure why that'd happen, Richard S.
BTW, was that bug solved through the pm i sent you?
2808
Actually, that has happened to me before, but for folders. The folders just wouldn't open. I fixed it through (in windows explorer) tools-> folder options -> file types. I can't find .exe there, though.

Also, on xp pro sp2, i have no "open with" for executables.
Cool, i had never noticed that.
Looks like MS is pretty smart sometimes ;)

How about regions 1,2,3,4,5 and 7? Do you want them to move to the same place they do in axcrusik's grid?

spyda: i think i can do that. Just tell me: you mean having a grid just like AxCrusik's grid, but with the middle square working just like the vertical-2-part?

Richard S: sorry for the late response, but i wasn't at home and didn't have web connection.
You can have access to the value saved by that run grid by opening the "windowpositions.exe.ini" under the \plugins directory. That ini file has all the information stored through that plugin. Here's an example:
[Vim]
WindowLeft=0
WindowTop=0
WindowWidth=640
WindowHeight=464
[mIRC]
WindowLeft=853
WindowTop=464
WindowWidth=426
WindowHeight=309
This has the values for VIM and mIRC windows.

all you have to do is press the following link: irc://efnet/donationcoder. (at least, it should work if you have mirc installed.

Living Room / Re: Poll : What is the most useless key on the keyboard
« Last post by jgpaiva on February 11, 2007, 06:25 AM »
I think that the 2 best keys for this kind of thing are the windows key and the right-click key.
Notice that none of the two will lose thir original use when used as modifiers for scripts.
The right-click key can still be pressed and released and you get the same behaviour. The only difference would be that when you press it and another key at the same time, you get a different behaviour.
Another key i use on my scripts (the ones for personal use) as modifier is the '<' key.

I support the "don't kill altgr" motion because i need it for {[]}@£§. I also support the "don't kill caps lock" motion, i use it while typing :)

Notice that there's no right winkey, num-lock or scrl-lock in laptops!
(actually, there's num-lock and scrl-lock, but you can only get to those through fn-key, which renders those unnusable)

Add more options!! More specifically a "other" option and "don't care" option.
For me, the most useless (and also the most anoying) key in my keyboard is definitelly the 'insert' key. I always wondered why people invented that thing. I even removed it from my external keyboard, because i kept inadvertely pressing it, and overwriting stuff!

why is it that MS apps are inevitbly the apps that violate microsoft's own established standards..
Abso-fck*ng-lutelly. MSN is the program i know that has most problems. It's usually the program that makes me stop using some window managers and alike.
