Hadn't considered it, but I could include wildcard support. At present, it's good for lists that get pretty long (dozen or even hundreds of lines) where each line in the text file represents a single record.

For example

Name1 Birthday1
Name2 Birthday2
etc.

or...

Name1 websiteJoinDate
Name2 websiteJoinDate
etc.

This program reads each successive line in a text file as a separate entry (assuming it's not a blank line), and determines if that entry has occurred previously in the text file (in other words, is the current entry a duplicate?) The program has the ability to permit the user to write a new text file containing only the unique items from the original text file, while omitting duplicates. The program is case-sensitive, so "PINEAPPLES" isn't the same entry as "pineapples", nor as "Pineapples".

+1. I still use various apps from the last several years' NANY events. I especially like Stoic Joker's "Got Space?" As of yesterday's count, we had 18 entries. I'd really like to see that figure doubled by the end of NANY.
