If MaidSafe "maid" it to Forbes (ha!) do you think its managed to magically go under the NSA's radar?

BTW, always wanted to be a "farmer" - hay fever stopped me.

Ya, life would sure be boring if didn't have some boogie man stories.

James Corbett of TheCorbettReport recently put out a good report about the FED (Century of Enslavement on his video page). That, and reports about Bilderberg group are fascinating. But the one that tipped me off most so far, "All Wars are Banker Wars". That explains best what the "game" is all about to me.

;D very good Lutz!

Problem is... have been saving data there for quite some time.
Even if deleted, it still lingers on their servers no?
Then again, not that i have any hate data or things NSA doesn't already know about.

Ed Snowden claims that Condaleezza Rice (NSA spy) now works for Dropbox.
Should we worry now about our data there or just "surrender" like many have with Google?

@ewemoa,

Kupfer shows much potential (first i've heard about it) but i'm probably missing something about shortcut (hotkey).
Invoking Kupfer (step 1) then step 2 and step 3 is one step too many compared to simply opening browser and search.

Thank you ememoa! Will investigate.
The option to add search engines is interesting for sure!

Tried Cinnamon 64bit on SSD dual booting with Windows 7 and i find that Ubuntu loads a few seconds faster.
Used to be the opposite.

BTW, is there a way to perform searches in LM somewhat like the Ubuntu search that also does a Google search (while showing other things on computer etc.)?

Thanks Phil but don't think it's helping much.

Copernic Desktop used to do it just well too, but now, version 3 is shareware and $50 is a bit steep just to get quick access to contacts.

Find And Run Robot / Any options to search Outlook contacts/addressbook?
« Last post by dantheman on May 28, 2014, 08:20 AM »
Recently "upgraded" laptop to Windows 7 64bit with SSD.
Installed Outlook 2013 and in the past, was able to search contacts immediately via Windows super key (search).
With my "new" laptop, this doesn't work anymore...
Can FARR be configured with a script or some other option to do this?

I've gone to TED's a few times and do get the feelings here expressed too!
(doesn't take much!)

But, seeing that some have taken out a bit of their Latin...
I figured this one would blend in well with what can be broadcasted on TED's.

SRS came with the LG laptop i have (which is good), wonder how it compares to DFX?
Would a trial installation of DFX come into conflict with SRS?

@tomos,

There's a session saver incorporated and a shortcut key 'ctrl+alt+s'

Now if i can find the 'search as you type' feature i like so much about Firefox ...

Good point.
Extensions have always been a if not the major player for Firefox.  :-*
I just don't understand the disrepect the Mozilla Foundation is showing to extension devs by removing the addons bar for example.

p.s. did notice that K-Meleon is working on Linux version too!

General Software Discussion / K-Meleon anyone?
« Last post by dantheman on February 13, 2014, 07:59 AM »
With Firefox (Chrome) Australis on the way soon, i'm considering viable alternatives like Seamonkey, Palemoon and even K-Meleon which is now at 74b2 !

Anyone recall this lightweight browser?

Non-Windows Software / Re: LINUX: Linux Mint 16 "Petra" just released

Not a problem! I've unfortunately done the same in the past. Apology accepted.

Did do some more homework and checked out at LinuxMint forums - the solution to dual booting Linux with Windows 8 is not an easy one!

A friend of mine has Windows 8 and i tried to work with it - all i can say is 'yuck'!

Now i want to propose she dual boot with LM 16 but it's not a LTS so i was wondering if it is possible to upgrade when the time comes or is it better to re-install?

Wonder if 40hz has made it his definite OS?

Is it just me?
I find the sound from Youtube comes out better on headsets in LinuxMint.
Can't say the same for integrated speakers though.

@TaoPhenix,
Do tend to let myself be uselessly distracted by gadgets.
It's hard 'cause our eyes always want to see more and all the other senses too!
Windows 7 is truly one of the best Microsoft has ever come out with and i still don't know it as good as i should.
Too busy dabbing with various Linux distros and now, with a Google Nexus 7!
Handy stuff but also time consuming...

Must admit though, that LinuxMint 16 (especially Cinnamon), worthy to be installed over old Vista.

Too bad ScreenShotCaptor doesn't work in Linux.
With its own scan driver, it could have done the job replacing CanoScan's ?

Thank you for the excellent footwork Edvard!
That webpage is another keeper for sure!

At least 40hz has spared me from doing what that bird did to its computer.
Quite the depiction that was!  :D
Have that exact want when obliged to work with someone who still has Vista.
