It changes the directory Window Title using the 'GoTo' menu.
if that helps
277
The solution to the caption object being too wide after performing a vertical splice is to not perform a vertical splice after adding a caption. That's a first world problem in the Screenshot Captor universe.  :P

I agree, it will work like that.
278
It seems to be working now without clicking any save buttons, I don't know why.
Inside of SC it still shows the full caption bar, opening the shot in any other editor shows the correct cropped shot.
279

The previous bug of adding a caption and then performing a vertical splice still leaves the caption full sized.
Undoing the changes leaves the image a bit messed up

Same thing is happening with cropping the shot after adding a caption, either in the post capture dialog or using SC's editor.
It seems to open in other editors correctly, sometimes, with the different saves-save, save as new version, and save as. It will work consistently by flattening the shot.
It is still easy to work with as is though.

But I think mouser is going to try to fix it. (sorry mouser)
As you may know by reading this thread.
280
It actually looks smaller on my screen then that shot....
and that is good!
281
Man, that one is perfect! I like it.
282
You mean the difference between the mini buttons and the others, like settings and capture?
Post a shot of yours if you want to. I've been using greenshot for some of these, like the QCB.

"Actually, can you re-download yet again and see if the height is fixed now?" Yes
283
I'm just glad I can help, thanks for SC!
Ok, this looks better, Thanks.

edit-o yeah, windows 7 32bit
284
to be sure I downloaded and installed again
checked reset all settings to default

edit-but didn't delete that part of the .ini, but i see you can reproduce it...
285
Have the latest version.
Double checked to make sure that section of the .ini was deleted.
Here's the shot-

Delete all of this?

Exited Sc and started it again.
This shot is on my larger monitor with 1920x1080.
The previous shot was 1600x900.
Keep in mind that I have my displays set to 125%, not 100%.
288
I'm not sure if this is by design or a work in progress concerning the Quick Capture Bar.
There is a significant amount of space on the right of the Bar with no buttons or commands.
Or it may be my computer. I have 2 monitors and it's the same on both.
I've checked and unchecked all the options for the bar and still the same amount of space.

I'll add on a few 'lighter' items.
Matches, a lighter and a flashlight.

Yep, it's a scissor jack in my car.
I could use the lug-nut wrench, but I have a 4 way tire wrench.
Makes it easy to get the lug-nuts off.

Either a wind-up or some other contraption.
The hydraulic floor jack is easier to use and safer imo.
Just slide it under the car and put the handle on it.
A few pumps and it's up.
Mine looks similar to this one,
but lower to the ground for getting in between the car and the ground.

oops, wrong pic
the first pic is similar to my case
the second is similar to my jack

A 2-5 ton portable hydraulic jack is nice to have.
I don't see too many flat tires any more though.
It takes a bit of room in the trunk (boot) but worth it if you need it.
Mine is in a handy case that weighs about 25lbs or so...had it a long time, don't remember the specs.
The factory jacks that come with most cars are an annoyance to use.
I've used it once for my truck and once for my son's car.
They can be found easy enough, parts stores, walmart, etc.

I don't have Vista, but that has happened with my W7.
I think it's the operating system, cause right click-refresh will show the image,
or when I've downloaded a picture to the desktop, I've had to refresh to see it.

we bought a 2013 Ford Taurus in November. It's the most enjoyable car to drive I've ever owned,

I can relate to that, I think I'm in love with my new car.  8)
I know used is a better buy, sometimes, but new is special.

I just downloaded the latest beta v3.18.01 and I closed the Quickbar (it's not for me) but after logging off and back on the toolbar reappeared (I have Screenshot auto-load with Windows).  I then logged off again and back on and the same thing happened.

Click the settings button in capture bar and uncheck 'Enable and show Quick Capture Bar'.

Or uncheck it in the right click menu from the tray. hm I don't think this is correct.

Closing it only works for current window session.
297
Maybe have both the post-capture pop-up dialog and the Quick Capture Bar on by default.
Keeping the toggle for Quick Capture Bar in the tray menu and adding a toggle for the post-capture pop-up dialog.

edit- i see you already have a post capture toggle "After Capture Show"
i do like that

When I was a teen, I had a friend that had that same exact car.  It had a straight 6 engine and ran pretty strong.

It was actually called a slant 6, but it was straight, not a V6.
A very strong motor, I had to replace the distributor, and it ran great.

I liked the '61 Ford Truck too, but the worm gear went out on it.
Pretty dangerous since that is part of what controls the steering.
I had to turn the steering wheel around 1.5 to 2 times for it to catch.

One of my first cars was a '63 Dodge Dart.
Ugliest car this side of hell! But it ran good and the heater worked.
In no particular order before I got married and had to straighten up.
'71 Ford LTD, '61 Ford Truck,
'67 Dodge Monaco-a giant of a boat
bought for $175, put a carb on it and ran fine
'69 Chevy Truck, '71 Ford Torino, '85 Ford Ranger
Here's a pick off that dart, mine did not look this good.
It was rusted so bad that if you went through a puddle,
water would come through the floor boards.
