My plan is to open source them all for NANY 2022.

I will have to decide before then if these videos are good enough or if it's worth the time and effort to remake them.

Interesting.. but hard to know how serious it really is.. It seems to be suggesting that the main risk would be malicious comments in an open source repository.. But it seems like it should be pretty easy to detect and block going forward..

Edited the above posts to add (draft) videos for each extension to show how they work and how to use them.

Here's another link: https://www.donation...torials/mini-reviews

403 probably means the server is temporarily getting too many requests from your ip too fast -- and just temporarily blocked you --  ive noticed this happening to me on some threads with a lot of images -- i need to fix the server settings so it's not so sensitive.

Yep that looks like it fixes it; I'll update the official one in the next release.

It's not a huge deal but like Deo says it's a never ending marathon process where there is always some future thing that you'll need to fix to keep them happy.

LaunchBar Commander / Re: Show us your LaunchBar Commander Screenshots
« Last post by mouser on October 26, 2021, 10:18 PM »
That screenshot is a little confusing, and LBC can have a steep initial learning curve because of a few strange features.  Because it lets you have multiple launchbar "files" open at the same time, you are finding it wanting you to start with first adding a FILE.  so try creating a new launchbar file or OPENING the sample one.  Start from there.  with a file open you can create new nodes.

Google is not happy that I have not told them the target audience age so it removed all my apps.. Going through them now to make sure no kid accidentally downloads an app to make checklists and resubmitting so the google god's will deem them worthy.

Try unchecking that Automatically scale box.
And then restart LBC.

It's possible that the display settings on your windows system are set to be > 100% dpi.
You could try changing that if ALL of your app windows/text seem too big.

But you could also try these options in the MAIN root options tab of LBC:

I think the problem may have been related to trying to capture a MENU.  That's could be the issue.  There are 2 problems:
1. The hotkey for active capture window can cause menu to close.
2. If SC tries to do it's trick to capture transparent/rounded windows it can get confused.
You can solve #2 by turning off the option to try to capture transparent windows.
You can solve #1 by changing hotkey.

That's pretty strange.. that error should only be given when the entire contents of the active window are the same color..
You can disable the option to check for that -- it might be interesting to see what the resulting capture would look like:

N.A.N.Y. 2020 / Re: NANY 2020 Release - Android App - DiscussionList
« Last post by mouser on October 21, 2021, 02:38 PM »
The new features I've added are designed for those who want to use DiscussionList as a kind of teleprompter device, cycling through full page slides using a foot pedal.  I have used it for YouTube discussions.  By letting you easily rearrange the order of items, and use checkboxes to quickly enable and disable slides to be used in the presentation list, it makes it easy to walk through bullet list of items that you reuse for multiple presentations.  If you are just doing a one-off presentation I would recommend using Google Sheets instead, but for repeat presentations that use a subset of topics/slides, this may be useful.

Updated for the first time in a year v1.13:
  • View mode now shows bulk checkbox option.
  • When checkboxes are visible, by default only those checked items will be shown in slideview mode.
  • Support for external keyboard (footpad) to control slide presentation (advance and previous).

It looks like its used by the spellchecker library in CHS.. it might have been added if you did a spell check and added words.. shouldnt be needed.

1. I saw it discussed before but can't find now - the buttons (and their icons) in the main window are awfully small on a high res monitor

Try this option:

May require restarting SC after making the change.

Im here, just distracted lately.
Ok so you are using my new beta version that tries to get different data formats.  That page suggests a fix "How to fix:
Skip the GetData call if the requested format is CF_METAFILEPICT.".. so i think i should be able to add that fix, at the very least as a simple option.  let me see if i can't get a version with that out in the next few days.

I apologize for the delayed reply.  I will try to get a new version out in the next month with win10 support working, but as I replied just now in the other thread, I think this is a good candidate to open source, maybe others can improve it.  Let me just chew on it a little bit.

Hi Papatech.
Because Process Tamer is one of the few apps I've made that exists in a non-gui form that wouldn't require much effort for others to build, I think open sourcing the code makes a lot of sense if I'm going to to update it much.
Let me chew on it a little more.  I'd like to get it all working on windows 10.
