RECOMMENDED UPDATE:

1. Rewrote quite a bit of the code in the launcher and the launch file editor and should be at least a little better.

Can it download the list of files?

For such purpose I am using Total Commander feature but it would be nice to have it also here…
-fenixproductions (January 09, 2015, 02:43 AM)

It cannot do automated list of files without running separate instances of it.

By the way delete cache folder files inside the Weather Station Warlock folder and it should be ok next time you load the station finder.  Appears the NWS has fixed their issue a few days ago. :)

Seem's like its a problem with the NWS Station List ATM which is out of my control unless I can figure out a workaround to make the xml parser skip errors.

Code: Text [Select]
  1. XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
  2. Line Number 13534, Column 61:
  3.                 <station_name>ALABAMA RIVER AT CLAIBORNE LOCK & DAM NEAR MONROEVILLE</station_name>
  4. --------------------------------------------------------------^

You may need to delete states.txt in the cache folder before you check to see if it is fixed.

Meanwhile...if you know the station id...

You can create a file in the main directory of WSW called stations.xml.

And inside it here is what mine looks like...

Code: Text [Select]
  1. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
  2. <WeatherStationWarlock>
  3.   <FileFormatVersion>1</FileFormatVersion>
  4.   <Stations>
  5.     <Station id="KTRI" name="Tri-Cities Airport" />
  6.     <Station id="KCRP" name="Corpus Christi International Airport" />
  7.     <Station id="KCMI" name="Champaign / Urbana, University of Illinois-Willard" />
  8.     <Station id="KBKF" name="Buckley AFB/Aurora" />
  9.   </Stations>
  10. </WeatherStationWarlock>

Change station id to the id of yours...

One workaround to find the station id atm is...

Goto weather.gov enter your location to find your local forecast...then on the page that comes up look under Current Conditions at and find the id...
screen_12172014.png The station id is inside the ().

Is WSW still working OK?  Mine can't download any station info.

Is it with individual station's? If so...
Which station's are you trying if it is certain stations? I did notice where some station's doesn't have the correct data if any data at all for them.

As its still working for my stations which includes...

KTRI  BRISTOL / JOHNSON / KINGSPORT, TRI-CITY REGIONAL AIRPORT, TN
KCRP  CORPUS CHRISTI, CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, TX
KCMI UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS - WILLARD, IL
KBKF  BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE AIRPORT, CO

If other then what do I need to look at...

XYplorer has paper folders as of v14.30.0100 and later -> Xyplorer 14.30 notes...

From the link I gave...

"Paper Folders can be used just like normal folders in virtually all contexts in XYplorer: You can bookmark them, search them, filter them, branch view them, tag their items, generate reports on them, copy their stuff, paste stuff into them, drag stuff into them, color their contents, customize their icons, cache their thumbnails, show custom columns for them, save their folder view settings, etc."

Can PEW handle selection of many files?

Not at this time as it can only handle one.

Is it possible to start launcher with text file parameter?

I mean: such text file would contain the list of files I would like to open and PEW could do one of these steps:
1. for each file start associated application
2. start application associated with all files extensions and:
- pass list of files to it
- pass all files as parameters
3. just pass the list over.

It would be nice if I could use PEW together with Total Commander. Since TC can generate temporary file with list of all things selected (%L parameter) I could help if PEW was able to handle it.
-fenixproductions (November 21, 2014, 02:13 PM)

Not sure on that request and is why I haven't replied before now as I want to think it would be a little confusing but unsure at this time...

A new beta has just been posted @ carrolld.dcmembers.com/pew/ with a few bug fixes, other behind the scene enhancements, and a few skins removed and some added for the DropZone. :)
Just remember...you will need to get the file with beta in it's name else you are getting the latest non beta version.

0.11.6 is better at selecting within the entries, even after editing.
-cranioscopical (November 06, 2014, 05:43 PM)
Hopefully no more arises as I have did about everything I can think of to nip the quirky keyboard navigation in the bud...

skwire suggested a hot key to call up the interface. FWIW, I'd prefer a small drop target to do this. I could make that happen using AHK but it'd be nice to have it built in.
-cranioscopical (November 06, 2014, 05:43 PM)

I've got several ideas for it just not enough time other than bug fixing atm to work on it.

0.11.6 build 2014 is uploaded. See top post for download link.

Fixes
  • More attempted fixes to get the keyboard navigation working right in the list after it loses focus and then later regains it.

Changes
  • Added drag and drop of files to the add/edit dialog entry textbox.
  • Drag and drop to entry textbox attempts to pull the real path to the file from shortcuts.  Doesn't add the text if it can't pull it from it.

As always everyone who tests the latest version for me their help will be much appreciated... :)

Be nice if
  • there were a drop target
  • it were possible to drag-drop shortcuts
-cranioscopical (November 06, 2014, 09:35 AM)

For the add/edit entry textbox?  If so I have got it in the version I am working on and also for shortcuts yet some shortcuts for me doesn't seem to work...

0.11.5 build 2014 is uploaded. See top post for download link.

Fixes
  • Possibly fixed the quirky keyboard navigation of the list after the list loses focus and then gets focused again.

I think a tool like this begs for a hide/show hotkey and the ability to run from the tray.  That is, the typical close-to-tray or minimise-to-tray options.

Down the road...
Was my plan down the road for something like that...

As always everyone who tests the latest version for me their help will be much appreciated... :)

0.11.4 build 2014 is uploaded. See top post for download link.

Issues
  • Still the quirky keyboard navigation.

Changes
  • Added text drag and drop with the option to toggle the showing of the dialog in Preferences then Other Interface.
  • Use Shift + Click&Drag entries over any other entry in another group to move them to that group. Doesn't matter which entry as it sorts it. (Known Issue: Scrollbar doesn't scroll to get to hidden entries.)

Fixes
  • Clicking links in the about dialog should be fixed. I couldn't get it to reproduce after I applied a fix...

Your help in testing the latest version for me will be much appreciated...

Add URLs by drag-n-drop?
-cranioscopical (October 31, 2014, 09:53 PM)

Just started playing with this...

I second the drag-n-drop suggestion.

Suggestion: If a URL is detected on the clipboard, pre-populate the 'Entry' field when adding a new entry.  You could make it even more efficient by adding a "Add URL from clipboard" option that wouldn't even display the 'Adding a New Entry' dialogue.  It would simply add the URL to which group is selected at the time.  Just a thought.

Toggle of the display of the add dialog for the new text drag and drop operations implemented and it uses/defaults to whichever group of the entry you are hovering over.  It will not work if you hover over the group row must be an actual entry.  Also, latest version has *not* been uploaded yet...Now to see if I can figure out how to fix the quirky keyboard navigation...This is just an update on status.

Further observations and thoughts:

  • After adding or editing an entry, keyboard navigation of the listview no longer works.  You can shift-tab to give focus/control back to the listview but then the highlighted item is no longer the item with focus.  Just shift-tab and press 'Up'...you'll see what I mean.
  • Drag-n-drop in the listview to move entries from group to group would be a nice-to-have.
  • All the clickable URLs in the 'About' dialogue error out with an "Illegal characters in path" message box.

1. Close to fixed...
2. Now possible when I upload the new version soon with shift + click then drag over one the entries in the list it will put it in the group of the entry below cursor.
3. Should be fixed.
