That's a new feature in the install process.

I don't think it's new. I've just checked with 6.5 and all my settings are there unchanged. It could be related to installation directory thought.

Really? OK, there's something new in the install process though, there's a no-questions-asked option. That's what I was thinking of. But previously I always had to switch to my preferred menu setup after an update...

That's a new feature in the install process. Before it used to just go with the default menu and language, but now it'll read your previous settings and not change anything, just do the updating part.

Site/Forum Features / Re: New DC Member Kit Stuff

Alternatively, it would be cheaper to do just  one larger sticker if people think that would be better.. frankly i don't know if anyone really cares..
That would be perfect for my laptop and Eee :)

Excellent, evgeni! As you may suspect from my lack of emails, I didn't really find more problems to report after the initial correspondence ;)

I was never a user of the original KeyNote, but have downloaded and playing with this to see what all the fuzz was about. Very cool little thing, and maybe the note taker I've been looking for. Could do with a few things here and there, but I'll need to delve deeper into its features and usage areas before "complaining" ;)

Any of you old keynote users care to share some templates or useful keynote files or tricks? (I've already got the ones from www.tranglos.com, btw)

General Software Discussion / Re: Someone MUST make a new PowerMarks program.
« Last post by TucknDar on March 29, 2009, 01:38 PM »
I'm not J-Mac, but I thought I'd chime in here, since I use the Pro version and think it's definitely worth the money, at least for me.  The Pro feature that matters most to me is the link checking, which is many times faster and more accurate than Powermarks' link checking ability.  For me, that one feature makes the Pro version worth the $.
Thanks for the input, and you're certainly forgiven for not being J-Mac ;)
By link checking, you mean checking for dead links, or do you mean check for content changes?

J-Mac, would you say the PRO-features are worth the $s?

The list that explains the differences doesn't strike me as major advantages but maybe I'm missing something...
  • Ability to check URLs for dead links, intelligent (only major) content changes, and page movements
  • Replace feature
  • Retrieve URL meta tags
  • Editable Export Templates (XML, TSV...) with UTF8 support
  • Optional installation on USB sticks for mobile usage

I'm using Linkman Lite and liking it, but would be very intersting in knowing if there's something you particularly miss going from Pro to Lite, Steven.

So far, I'd say Linkman Lite does everything I want and the only thing I don't really like is the splash, but that only lasts a few seconds :)

I don't think so. But a very nice idea for a plugin, maybe utilize some other program's feature...

General Software Discussion / Re: Collectorz.com... again!
« Last post by TucknDar on March 24, 2009, 04:41 PM »
Some more threads have mysteriously vanished from the Collectorz board :-\

I'm starting the conversion to eXtreme Movie Manager. While not the most beautiful app out there, it's got tons of features, uses a number of scripts (more can be added by users) to import data, is actively developed by an author who seems genuinely interested in his customers. The program only costs $10 btw! Data exported from Movie Collector to XML can be imported (images as well!) so the change didn't take long, but there's a fair bit of updating needed. Best alternative I've found!

Only 10$ , unlimited updats included!
(sic) ;)

Wouldn't mouser want to know when a user has opened FARR one billion times? :D
Not likely, that would mean daily notifications, since I use FARR A LOT!! 8)

HotKeyz supports the special media keys now if anybody is interested to know ;-)
It doesn't seem to work with my computer... None of the special keys can be assigned in HotKeyz as far as I can see.

I'm not a coder, but do some work on a couple of FARR aliases which I'd like to see if I could use VizTracker to help me with. I could see myself using it for some other things as well, such as working on a couple of websites.

But those projects of mine doesn't really have defects or issues as such, it's more like there are a few requests and todo-items for them. Would it be too much work to change VizTracker so that it could be used for requests/todos as well?

Also, it would be nice with some sort of documentation of the different aspects of the program. I've never used issue trackers or similar before so a lot of this is new to me. (yes, I notice that you mention some documentation coming, and I understand perfectly well that it's not top of your priority list with the little feedback you've got on this ;) )

Find And Run Robot / Re: last window id
« Last post by TucknDar on March 21, 2009, 02:22 AM »
Ok, found out a fix/workaround... the fao alias was missing an Alias group name, and when I added it, this problem is solved. Why? errm.. mouser...?

There seems to be some odd behaviour when using the 'fao' alias then type some directory, some other aliases are shown as well:
FindAndRunRobot.exe Screenshot - 21.03.2009 , 08_09_15.png

This looks much like the bug reported in this thread, where if the search string ends with a \ some aliases will be shown as results as well.

Indeed. Very impressive support with this company  Now if only Collec.... ehm other companies showed the same respect for its users :-\

See what happens when you move Sunday to some other place in the list:
'Thursday, Sunday' -> 'torsdag og søndag'

'og' = 'and'

That would be much appreciated, evgeni :)

Hehe, that explains it!

I've attached an updated Norwegian.ini with the best translations I could think of right now. Will update if I change my mind ;)
