I think its a bit simpler than that.  You can monetize youtube channels and videos pretty easily these days.  There's no way to monetize text explanation.

Look in your task manager - there should be a column there for PID (process ID).  If there's not, right click on any column to check to show it.

What is that process?

Depending on what kind of phone, you could rig something up with NFC.

Well, if you've done that (other folders), I'm not sure what to tell you.  You might look in the event viewer to see if there is some indication of what the problem is.  But if windows is preventing one program in all folders from renaming, but not from creating... that sounds really strange.  I'd say check the permissions on the folders- which is where I was going, but I've you've already tried it on a different drive... that seems a dead end.

There are a couple of things with this - first of all, being that shipping.  I have something I'd be more than happy to contribute, but shipping it overseas would be prohibitive, so I'd want to do domestic, but that doesn't seem fair.  And then there's the idea of if they'd even want it.  How could we surmount these issues?

They've had some really cool ones on HGTV- one that was a schoolbus and one that converts into a larger space when stopped.  You might visit HGTV and take something from those also.

One more time: In all of the information you've given, you've been using D:\.

Have you tried a different path?  Move the container to somewhere else (on your c-drive in your my documents if possible).  Try it there.  Try a new container there also.  Does that work?

Have you tried to move the container and see the results?  And/or create a container in a different location?
The reason I asked these is because of permissions.

In addition, after watching your video, it appears that the error is on renaming the temp file, which also seems like the error has to do with permissions.  I could be wrong on this, but considering that the tmp file seems to be the full file of your edits, and after you change to .exe it works, I don't think that to ask that is far afield.

Thoughts?

Find And Run Robot / Re: ALT key problem
« Last post by wraith808 on November 14, 2016, 10:49 AM »
I haven't made myself clear.
no,
it was clear what you wanted :)
On international keyboards at any rate, the 'right Alt' is 'AltGr' which is a different key. So saying they 'should' both work was maybe what prompted the responses. I find it an interesting topic anyway -- I was surprised (and happy) many years ago to find with some (graphics) software I was able to use AltGr+[whatever] instead of Ctrl+Alt+[whatever] shortcuts.

It wasn't clear to me :)  So I appreciated the clarification, and apologize for any confusion injected into the conversation.

I'm trying to save changes to the previously existing file-container. Which is located in the root folder (Drive D - it is not the system). Windows 7 x86. Nothing has changed, many years I have used this file container without any problems.

I tried to create the new file-container, and it save the changes an error

So, the container was working before, and is not working now, and is in the same location where it was working.  And when you try to create a new container in that location, you get the same error.

Have you tried to move the container and see the results?  And/or create a container in a different location?

^ I think because the OP was on about the articles of the process- not the actual end result.

Find And Run Robot / Re: ALT key problem

Since the keyboard interface provides only one action for the ALT key, both ALT keys should work to perform the designated action.

Actually, that's incorrect.  They give different virtual keycodes, for the express means of using them differently.

The Virtual Key Code for Alt is VK_MENU, but is extended into VK_RMENU, and VK_LMENU.

Try CTRL+ALT+DEL using the keys on the right side of the keyboard.  It doesn't work.  So this is more a function of implementation, than error.  And if the workaround works, it seems that it may be functioning as designed- that's mouser's call, though it will affect at least myself if he does change it.

The distinct Virtual KeyCodes from MSDN:

VK_MENU
0x12
ALT key
VK_LMENU
0xA4
Left MENU key
VK_RMENU
0xA5
Right MENU key

To Tom's excellent point, when you press right alt you get the following:
vkCode: 162, wparam: 260, lparam: 3398032
vkCode: 165, wparam: 260, lparam: 3398032

And when you release, you get the following:
vkCode: 162, wparam: 257, lparam: 3398032
vkCode: 165, wparam: 257, lparam: 3398032

It's sending two keys - the shortcut for CTRL+ALT.

AltGr+Del used to do the same as CTRL+ALT+DEL, but it's handled at a lower level than normal key combinations now.

ALT + number key launches programs if the left ALT key is used but not when the right ALT key is used.  Please enable for both!

My suggestion would be to add another short cut for launch, and use the alternate key.  Does that work?  If it does, then that would seem to be the correct way to code such a feature, as left and right are different, and some would only like to use one (Me) but not the other.

While I'm here: @ proud IainB, I agree with your daughter, and I have been very disappointed with all these democrats not behaving democratic. The guy has been democratic elected; Now go and support your president = now go and support your democracy = be a democrat!

It's not that simplistic.  But this isn't the place for that discussion.

May be I could clarify myself. I am trying again.

I can read in other people website and blogs, say for example, "Win10 now supports title color etc."

What is the problem with MS not directly mentioning or giving a straightforward webpage with these list. Why someone else have to dig deep and find out and put for the world to see.

Regards,

Anand

So the critical errors does have the information on the critical errors.  You're just wanting something that tells every last change built into Windows.  I can see why they wouldn't right in the OS on every machine.  Compiling a list like that takes time and effort- I know from experience.  Especially to get it right on every release.  For a system this large, I can imagine that would be magnified in the effort.

I will be receiving my Topre Realforce 87U White (Variable Weight) today.

Pretty pricey item... nice!

Now I'm to the point where I have way too much money into it.  I have so many keyboards that I need to build more computers LOL!

@SJ: What channel is your WiFi set at?  Default is usually channel 6.
You could try changing it to either end, 1 or 13 (I think it's 13 for USA), and see if it improves. Might be someone using a WiFi repeater link that happens to pass over your property.

If it's something that isn't specifically WiFi broadcast related then I'm not sure the apps Wraith mentioned will help, you really need a Field Strength Meter.
I don't suppose there's any HAM Radio people you know that can help?

One of those articles I linked talks about the effects on the ecosystem of the area of switching channels.  And it made sense to me...

And you report this on the DC forum because...?

Someone will answer, as Shades did.  :P  I get the feeling that's the reason behind a lot of his posts.  He can be assured an answer of some sort.

Since adblocking is built-in to Slimjet it makes ad-blocker extensions/add-ons superfluous. Chrome, however, would still need a blocker.
 - Is that correct?

That is correct... as long as you trust their algorithm.  Personally, I found Slimjet slower with more memory consumption, and following issue.  And I really wanted to like SlimJet.

Skwire will probably see this query easier, if you re-pose it in his subforum (https://www.donation...ndex.php?board=298.0), or even the thread for the app (https://www.donation...dex.php?topic=6321.0).  It might happen when a mod sees this.
