Can you attach a list of the folder content it creates?

I'm a novice in this. I just tried Handbrake and it works quite well on single .VOB files, but I can't see how to get it to input 2 or more .VOB files and output a single .MP4 file containing both.

Add the folder, not individual files.

If you use VidCoder, you can drop the folder of VOBs or the ISO on the interface, it will auto-select the longest title on the DVD, (you choose any others), for encoding.

EDIT: HandBrake will do the same, just drop the folder/ISO on the interface.

Does VIDEO_TS contain all the standard files, (.BUP, .IFO, .VOB) ?

Also, try ImgBurn, put it in Build Mode and just drop the folder containing the VIDEO_TS onto the interface.  It will change to the correct filesystem and then check to see if the necessary files are there - it will tell you if one is missing.

but it will send a code to that mobile and require me to view it and enter it in their webpage (at least gmail does that)

Gmail doesn't require a phone number to create an account - it's optional for account recovery purposes and/or verification.

Just created another account now:
Name
Email
Password
Birth date
Gender

Those are the only mandatory questions, (at least as far as Australians are concerned).

If you choose to skip the Captcha verification then a phone number may be required for a "I am not a robot" verification.

You can have as many GMail accounts as you like, or you can have one and just use a period in it somewhere or email aliases to "create" others.

eg.
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

They will all end up going to [email protected] - trust me, it's a f'n PITA AFAIAC.

I spoke too soon; 'Free PPTPVPN' and 'Free Canada VPN' both require rather detailed manual set-up.

Um, it takes literally ~1 minute to set up a PPTP VPN, after that it's just three clicks to connect.

eg. Windows 8:

2014-01-14 14_54_26.png

Windows 7 is similar, (the connection list opens above the network tray icon).

Addendum: Attached is a RAS phonebook containing entries for PPTPVPN:
a) Extract
b) Double-click PPTPVPN.pbk
c) Choose US or UK, then hit Connect
d) Enter User/Password, (from web page), then hit Connect.

To disconnect:
a) Double-click PPTPVPN.pbk
b) Choose the connection and hit Hangup.

There's plenty of other free VPNs that don't need any software other than what comes with the OS, eg.

http://www.pptpvpn.org/
http://www.bestukvpn.com/
http://www.freecanadavpn.com/

Passwords change for them every few hours.  Unless you find a service that has a straight forward "we don't log anything" statement, then I would expect the minimum logging of them to be connection times/duration and originating IP.

But honestly, if you are that paranoid about uploading them, I'll do it  :)

At a guess, it would be by buying the Enterprise Edition and then using the iMacros API via another language, (eg. C#, VB, etc), or scripting language, (as it shows in the comparison table).

Just had a reply to an email I sent them - EDIS is out of slots, but there was a glitch that allowed some orders to proceed.

Damn, wish I proceeded with the Checkout now ...

Sorry to get your hopes up  :-[

And seriously, who wants to deal with the US when it comes to network anything these days?

After all, that RasPi might be coming courtesy of the NSA ... StuxPi anyone?

Why pay for a VPS when you can have your own server?

EDIS will colocate your RasPi for free at their datacenter in Austria.

Tried to jump on this, but the "Order now" button is disabled.  Rats.

Worked for me just now.

No bills apart from the initial RasPi purchase and mailing it to them, (unless you want it back).  They even provide free management including manual resets, (sometime within 72 hours).

Not bad if you just want a simple DNS, web server, proxy, VPN, etc and you have a RasPi sitting around doing nothing after the excitement has worn off ... now where have I put the damn thing ...

Edit: but it's pointless to use that program unless the input mkv is HD(avc1 is it?  I forget.)  It won't work for mkv with mpeg video.

I guess that depends on what restrictions the PS3 has in the way of format compliance:

Uses existing tools to convert troublesome* mkv files to mp4. The conversion does not re-encode the video and only re-encodes the audio if it doesn't use AAC codec (one can override this behaviour using --audio-codec). The resulting mp4 will be playable on the troublesome* Sony PS3.

*Correction mine :)

With the MP4 container, the video is supposed to be MPEG4 compliant, Part 2 (SP/ASP) or Part 10 (AVC), whereas the audio can be AAC, MP3, ALAC, etc.

IIRC, before he changed his post, he reported the conversion worked OK but he was having trouble uploading through the TOR network.

MakeMKV isn't going to fix that  :)

Better off using one of the free VPN services.

xp version fails too.
Invalid IP why ?

Um, because it's supposed to?

Works OK on my XP machine and you'll never see the result of the ping unless you've modified the ping command (> nul) or your systems redirection is borked.

Code: Text [Select]
  1. REM For XP
  2. @echo off
  3.
  4. REM Generate random number between first and second argument
  5. REM Second argument > first argument
  6. set /a num=%RANDOM% * (%2 - %1 + 1) / 32768 + %1
  7.
  8. REM Multiply by 60 for minutes
  9. set /a delay = %num% * 60
  10.
  11. REM Ping an invalid IP once per second        <---------------------------------------------------------------
  12. for /l %%a in (1,1,%delay%) do (ping 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 1000 > nul)

Naturally, the easiest way would be to have the main computer remote shutdown all the others.

The sound of multiple Windows shutdown tunes would then alert you to take your medicine.

An added benefit is that it requires no software on the other computers.

The final script will be compiled.

So just add the relevant script commands in your program to cause a delay in whatever script language you're using ... since you haven't told us.

Begin with 4860 seconds. More than 1 hour.
The target was between 1/2 hour and 1 hour.

Fixed.

For XP:
Code: Text [Select]
  1. REM For XP
  2. @echo off
  3.
  4. REM Generate random number between first and second argument
  5. REM Second argument > first argument
  6. set /a num=%RANDOM% * (%2 - %1 + 1) / 32768 + %1
  7.
  8. REM Multiply by 60 for minutes
  9. set /a delay = %num% * 60
  10.
  11. REM Ping an invalid IP once per second
  12. for /l %%a in (1,1,%delay%) do (ping 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 1000 > nul)

Sleep.cmd

Hardcoded:
Code: Text [Select]
  1. REM Generate random number between 30 and 60
  2. set /a num=%RANDOM% * (%%60 - %%30 + 1) / 32768 + %%30
  3.
  4. REM Multiply by 60 for minutes
  5. set /a delay = %num% * 60
  6.
  7. REM Wait (timeout is a Win 7+ command)
  8. timeout %delay%

The non hardcoded version:
Code: Text [Select]
  1. REM Generate random number between first and second argument
  2. REM Second argument > first argument
  3. set /a num=%RANDOM% * (%2 - %1 + 1) / 32768 + %1
  4.
  5. REM Multiply by 60 for minutes
  6. set /a delay = %num% * 60
  7.
  8. REM Wait (timeout is a Win 7+ command)
  9. timeout %delay%

Sleep.cmd 30 60

Instead of c:\websitelocation on the server.  I  need http://"website location on the server" with all the slashes reversed  :-\

Which is solved at the above post I mentioned ... no AutoHK required  ;)
2597

...

There may be an easier way to do this but I have not found it. (Probably because this works and I have not had much time to experiment with automation)  Due to the precise structure of the Web-Server this is always the layout and this process always works generating a name+date.txt in about 1 second.  But it takes me another 5 minutes of editing with notepad++ to change all the lines of text to be working hyperlinks .

@questorfla: Perhaps it would help to read one of your previous threads?

Windows will alert you when your battery gets low, first will be a warning, then there'll be a critical alert, followed by standby, hibernation, or shutdown (depends on how you have it configured).
