Getting back OT, it could prove interesting.  It has been tried before, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be tried again.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence of your attempt.

I suppose we'll see a warning that we shouldn't pirate every time we open a browser anytime soon for 2 minutes like on dvd.

tbh, any website worth visiting right now, will be shut down within minutes of the bill passing.

I can see Facebook, Google, Twitter, Bing, Mediafire, Imageshack, eBay, and many many more, (Including DonationCoder) being offline on the 1st Feb, if this new 'law' passes.

Is this how what you want to see on your most visited websites?

Well...If SOPA is passed, more than 80% of your favorites list...INCLUDING DONATIONCODER...could be forced to take themselves offline! - Nobody is safe from SOPA, even the biggest sites such as Google, Facebook and even Microsoft's Search Engine 'Bing' could face the chop!

Stop American Censorship

Congress is about to pass internet censorship, even though the vast majority of Americans are opposed. We need to kill the bill - PIPA in the Senate and SOPA in the House - to protect our rights to free speech, privacy, and prosperity.

Go To a Town Hall

The Senate is scheduled to vote on the internet censorship bill on Tuesday, January 24th, and unless we can find 41 senators to block the vote, it is going to pass. Will you meet with your senators during the January recess and ask them to vote it down?

I don't know how beefy of a graphics card you'll be needing, Stephen, but if your needs are modest there are lots of tiny/fanless cards geared for the HTPC market that might fit your needs and they are reasonably priced as well.

I wont take anything less than a 1GB 3D/HD Card :P

^I admire many people's wives. They function as good "reality checks" for us geek types.  ;D

haha yeah, but it took my mrs until my PC quite literally, refused to work anymore, until she said "OK, go buy a new one!"

Didn't 'need' the new monitor as well...but...it "came with it" (Didn't ask if I ended up paying for it in the final price...) lol

AMD Athlon II X4 645 3.10Ghz CPU
6GB DDR3 RAM (Dunno why but I only have 5.74 Usable...?) (Got another 8GB en route!)
Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit
ATI Radeon HD GFX (On board 256MB Memory...need a new one, but the case is tiny and I need to find a small enough GFX card)
2TB SATA HDD
24" HD Monitor (1920x1080 Resolution) - (Not used to screens this size...everything feels huge!)

Eep! I deleted my copy so I can't test - how big of a file can this handle comfortably? I just got into some Directory Readers lately, which list every file you have, and those files can come out 90 megs!! (Yikes!)

Even Notepad struggles with those, so I turned to the web to find a couple high-performance editors. The funniest one is http://www.movsd.com/thegun.htm - The Gun (Grown Up Notepad) shrunk down to minimalist glory of 6k (!!) which is coded apparently in Assembly and drills out huge files. (See also apparently next-generation TopGun with more features.)

You can download v1.0.72 here: https://www.donation...29268.0;attach=62515

I will be uploading a new release soon, just found a few bugs i should fix before building :)

Would be nice if there was a universal standard for cross-browser compatibility...shame it will never happen...no idea why ever Browser developer opts to render things totally differently.

Rendering websites in a different manner, on a new browser is a very bad idea, purely because nobody is willing to even bother trying to support your platform.  Look at how popular Opera is, and how many websites that still don't support it.  Look at how many websites still don't render for ANYTHING other than IE, and even some of those dont even support the newer builds of IE.

The web design market is a complete mess because of how painful it can be to test for all possible browsers.
2524
If it doesn't work on Safari - Screw em...As long as it works in FF, Chrome, IE and Opera, nobody really cares.  Make them use a real browser instead of spending a fortune on closed-source systems.
