Yeah, anything to do with 3d software is expensive as hell.Every couple of months or so i venture out on
the internet to find if there is cheap animation software and most are created for big studio type work
and are at least in the range of a 1000 bucks with add-on packs that cost a couple hundred bucks
and not to mention a learning curve that requires bible thick manuals if not college classes.I guess the
learning curve thing goes with the territory on any craft and it is craft. But i'd love to see some cheap
animation software.

One thing i have been looking at ac3d,it's like 60 bucks and looks impressive.
http://www.ac3d.org/index.html

And yeah i know there is blender http://www.blender3d.org/ ,but good lord that interface is like an
airplane cockpit.

Small tidbit, very small. You know how you can use protocol filter to filter out file types, you think
you can add .flv to the multimedia file types?

 Thanks for response.

I have modest expectations with no finacial gain.I want to keep it very simple,no individual settings, what
you see is what you get...text.My ideal is to set a page into a subdomain (i know how to do stuff like that
and database managment, etc.)i guess the insecurity or question is how to split Feeds from different sites
into there own catagories and have them display their headlines about ten deep.I would want it to cache
the links for speed,i want everything on my side of the fence.I tried something called Magpie ages ago,
it makes wonder if i'd need multiple installations of an aggregator since i want info from so many different
sources. It's a puzzle i have to rap my head around. This project might very well end up being a cob-web haven, but it's a learning thing.Once i get around how to do the background issues i can sex it up with css/ajax,etc.

Here is a crude layout.

it for email.I'm a procrastenater (i think i spelled that right) anyhow i want to create a link blog
that consists of rss/atom feeds like http://www.dailyrotation.com/ or something along those lines.
I was wondering if anyone out there has experience with such an issue.Failures,snafus,successes.

Anyhow any input will be appreciated. :)

Just to chime in,i too (i use total uninstall) have suffered what is explained in this alphabet scenerio.
I would uninstall The Bat! to do a clean install and for some reason Google earth and Nero would go
out the window with it.I really can't fault Total Uninstall, cause that's the nature of it's existence, but
it can be fustrating none the less.BTW there is a new version of Total Uninstall that was released yesterday
or so.

It really is a nice tool.

I used Techsmith Snagit for the screenshots :-[ ,sorry Mouser,it was on my machine first.
And i used Blueberry Software's BB FlashBack Express for my screencast, which i'm pretty
sure you can still get a discount for somewhere on this site,i really like BB FlashBack Express.
It's limited when it comes to editing, though,i guess that's the push for the full version, which
i can't fault.Business is business,and they make a fine product.

Pretty cool,i created a screencast of it for anyone who is curious about it from a visual stand point.

Not the most exciting screencast, but hey i'm bored and i have to do something with my google space.

The size is somewhere in the area of 96 kbytes.

I haven't owned a gaming console since Sega Dreamcast, two months after i bought one they went under. :(
But their is something about Nintendo i'm rooting for, maybe cause my second Console was a NES after my
Atari 2600.I never got into portable gaming. My last Nintendo Console was the SNES,never got the 64 nor the
Gamecube. One thing Nintendo has always seemed to do is keep the price at a decent level.I will never pay
above 150 bucks for a gaming system.

You have to take a look at http://www.fastmail.fm/
It is by far my favorite email service provider. And you can use it as an ftp.And when you
email an attachment you can use what you've uploaded, kinda like gmail.I hate those services
that say you can email large attachments and what they end up doing is allowing to email a
link to the attachment,i hate that crap.I'm pretty sure (you'd have to check their wiki)there
are settings where you can publicly share your uploaded files.Btw,reguardless of plan you buy
extra file storage later on.They have a forum,company blog,wiki,etc.

Go to the page for full details but here is some copy and paste.

Not what you'd think though, nothing to do with gbuy or google purchase etc.

Actually they are pretty old

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mamma.com

I've did some digging on their finacial state recently, they're having problems...
http://www.thehostin...com/article2109.html

But somehow they managed to buy Copernic
Which has one of the better desktop search apps

I think Mamma really suffers cause they basically have nothing up their sleave, they ignore other
browsers (firefox,Opera, etc)when it comes to tools and what not.I think the one search engine
that looks like their even trying to compete with google is ask.com.Personally i use google but
if you look here http://sp.ask.com/do.../site_features.shtml they do look like their trying
to make a serious effort. That Binoculars Site Preview thing looks pretty neat.

Screencast of Binoculars feature (flash 237kb)
http://svslinks.goog...ages.com/askbin.html
Doesn't require any other software btw, like their toolbars, etc.

Cool glad to see i'm not the only one. With last weeks build i couldn't click on an image link on the bottom
of mamma's search page (works now) http://www.mamma.com/ to get to what was once copernic
desktop search which is now Mamma' desktop search (powered my copernic)

Oh well, weekly builds, that's life. Thanks for response,it was driving me crazy.

« Last post by tinyvillager on March 20, 2006, 09:03 PM »

When it comes to the drive not being recognized, their are several things that can cause this.
The first thing that will stop you cold is that itty bitty little jumper you'll find next to where you
plug your cables into on the back of your drive, learn how to set that.Second try getting into
your bios, personally i get into mine by pressing the Del button while the machine is booting,i'm
not in front of your machine so it's hard for me to say what you should fiddle with but their are
settings in there that can cause your drive not to be recognized. But in my humble opinion try
messing with jumpers on the back of your drive.

270
I've posted this on their weekly builds site, which is what i'm using the latest weekly build. When i go to Betanews and try to click on the fileforum tab at the top of the page,it does nothing.Err.This is after
clean install and what i feel is all the necessary precautions that come with a clean install.Anyone else
experiencing this. >:(

I love screencasts. :-*

Another cosmetic bug i reported to them

This is not bashing BTW,i love Opera and these are weekly builds.

Seen this over on Techcrunch.com...

"It helps you notify people, and the world, that you are pissed off at someone. The “On Notice” feature tells them that they have committed an “infraction” and are in a suspension period. If they really screw up, you can state that they are “Dead to Me”.

Word around the campfire is that Vista is set for November.
http://www.microsoft...WRSS02129TX1K0000535

Although i've been using XP for a handful of years,it seems like it's taken every bit of that handful of years
to adjust, modify and get it just like i want it and now i like it.I like it to the point where i'm not that excited
about Vista.Personally i could sit on an OS for longer than five years and be content.I don't know, thinking
outloud here i guess, imho i'm just not that hyped about shelling out another 150-200 bucks on an os which
will also force me to shell out more money on hardware just to run it.Like i said just my humble opinion,
whats your thoughts, are you gonna rush out and buy it as soon as it comes out.Not to sound like a google
fanboy, cause i'm not,but i have the strongest feeling and an out and out prediction that Google will release
an OS,if not before Vista, shortly after, i don't care want anyone says and i actually believe it will be
essential to google's survival.
