FWIW
Open Office Draw handles .pdf and is okay for unambitious formatting (and it's free).
Word 2016 is better at handling tricky formatting (about the same as FlexiPDF)
WordPerfect X7 manages quite well.
Of what I have, Acrobat X is the best. Some of my documents require quirky formats and Acrobat X is more faithful in its reproduction of those.

I don't see an export to Word option in FlexiPDF Pro v1.06 Win.

The only export option I am offered is HTML3. That output a 28 page .pdf document, with fairly complex formatting, to HTML which Word 2016 brought in looking pretty much the same as the original.

OTOH Word 2016 inhaled the original .pdf and produced perfectly good results without FlexiPDF as an intermediary.

@cranioscopical - TD does not create an 'untitled.rtf' file. It just creates TextDragon file, please let me know what you find out.
I had a compiled Autohotkey GUI script of my own running.
That's the source of the Untitled.rtf

@Chris G,

I tried this on 2 machines and had some problems.
I get an "Untitled.rtf" file, along with the desired TestDragon-selected-format file, no matter which format I select.
There's a lot of stuff running on my machines and I wondered if something other than TextDragon was causing this. Now I think that is probably not the case as, after removing TextDragon, the drag ability is gone.

I'm a bit pressed for time at the moment but I'll dig around some more as soon as possible. Just wondered if the "Untitled.rtf" item meant anything to you.

Gentlemen, it merely means that you have well-warmed up file system caches :)

Nonetheless, I think you deserve the cache eh?

Boy, that's fast!!!

Thanks for sharing.

To my amazement I found one file 'created' in 1601. I know I'm getting a bit long in the tooth but really…   :o

Searched 1708 folders, 31185 files as close to instantly as I can measure subjectively (actually reported as 0.1 sec).

« Last post by cranioscopical on September 08, 2017, 02:02 PM »
As I have been working for the last several months on migrating the DC website to the Joomla content management system, I have ended up coding a bunch of custom extensions.  Some are dc-specific and won't be of much use to others, but several would be of use to general joomla sites.  I plan on releasing a few as part of my NANY offerings this year.
I hope you're including one that mutes the colors. That would be a site for sore eyes.

Usually the weather forecast authority relevant to your country is the best source of info, eg. The Met Office for the UK.

What have you tried, and why are they unsuitable?

Cue round of 20 questions ...

1) What?

Just a report from a high dpi screen esperience.

On my 3000x2000 267 ppi screen, CW gets the correct color of where it thinks the cursor is.

From the attached image you'll see that 'Chart Builder' thinks the cursor is at x: 1027  Y: 283 while the 'Window Spy' shows X: 2053  Y:566.
The cursor is actually on the red close box of CW and the 'Window Spy' correctly shows its color (C35A50). CW correctly reports 555655 as the color at where it thinks the cursor is situated.

This isn't due to the beta version; I installed the older version on the higher dpi machine and its behavior is the same.

On my 'normal' 1920x1080 screens everything is peachy.
