Even worse than being asked again all the questions you've just answered by typing them in on a phone (old klutz fingers here hates using phones for that) is getting a recorded message saying they are not there anyway!

If you go to the user area of the online armor site you can log in and get your licence key.  While app is generally correct the makers of online armor gave a full licence with all the benefits of same in this instance and not just a trial, so, so long as you remember what email address you gave them during the registration process you will be able to retrieve your licence key

ahhh never thought of that little link lol  :-[

thanks app, makes life a lot easier, i use various firefox and windows themes so colours get a bit confused at times.  For any one else who cuts and pastes like I did, it put in a lot of # characters between lines which need to be removed.

I seem to remember that the portable version was much more like the free version, missing most of the more advanced stuff, but it looks like its not for sale any more anyway.

While i was seriously underwhelmed by this thing, I just found this little article at mashable.com ( http://mashable.com/...wolfram-easter-eggs/ ) .  Some of these are rather good, ask it for example, the meaning of life and it will answer 42  ;)

If you subscribe to the likasoft news feed then you will always get advised of the latest updates, its the only news they have published since I have been using the feed, so it won't overwhelm your RSS reader  ;)

During 2008 there were 19 updates, this year their have been 4 so far.  The updates aren't major, usually 1 or 2 more file types that are supported, and 'minor changes' whatever they may be
37
The trial is limited to only 10,000 files, so that may have something to do with it, if you perhaps have more of these files in other directories or whatever, just a thought, I know it took me a little time going through all the options to get it right.

Hey Brandon, a better question to the car one perhaps, (it isn't mine, I heard it on the radio, me hearties) is if your friend just bought a brand new car and said  "Would you like me to rip you a copy?"  your answer may change, or at least give more pause for thought.

That's one of AnyDVD's adavantages, it is in active development, there is a new release, most weeks, usually only minor changes for a specific problem but they keep churning them out.

In TC (im using the ultima prime version) when the full details list is displayed the attributes show up.  To change the attributes, under the file menu the first option is change attributes.

I was using aero midnight, but i just tried with diamond as well, still no joy.  The program starts ok apparently, can be minimised to tray but then when I click on the tray icon and new note it freezes up, just cinta notes, nothing else.  Its using 50% of the processor while its locked open as well.  Im using window blinds 6.4 and the CN beta from the link you provided above.  Also I'm on an AMD 3800 X2 4gb of memory, running windows xp sp3 home.  And its been sitting there locked all the time I've been typing this, and I will need to kill it thru task manager.

Just tried it on my laptop, does the same thing, its an intel celeron 1.5, with around 750 mb of memory

I just tried it and I was wondering if you are aware it doesn't work with stardock's windowblinds?  You can tell WB to ignore it and it works ok.

General Software Discussion / Re: How to duplicate a file in the same folder?
« Last post by Grorgy on April 20, 2009, 05:39 PM »
I was just playing with lopesoft's file menu tools, and it has an option to duplicate files in same folder

Duplicate Files    files of any type and folders    Creates a new copy of the selected elements in the current folder.

http://www.lopesoft.com/en/index.html

It has a lot of other stuff you may not want to, but...

I found this on why grammar is important, some may find it interesting:

Grammar is important because it is the language that makes it possible for us to talk about language. Grammar names the types of words and word groups that make up sentences not only in English but in any language. As human beings, we can put sentences together even as children--we can all do grammar. But to be able to talk about how sentences are built, about the types of words and word groups that make up sentences--that is knowing about grammar. And knowing about grammar offers a window into the human mind and into our amazingly complex mental capacity.

People associate grammar with errors and correctness. But knowing about grammar also helps us understand what makes sentences and paragraphs clear and interesting and precise. Grammar can be part of literature discussions, when we and our students closely read the sentences in poetry and stories. And knowing about grammar means finding out that all languages and all dialects follow grammatical patterns.

But are the artists really losing anything? or the record companies?  If the music would not have been bought if piracy was not an option then all they are really doing is spreading the name of the artist involved.  Some musicians who have offered their music for free have increased sales and public awareness of their talents, as I heard one guy say, most people come along to his website, download a few songs and then if they like it they buy it, apart from people who don't have the money, be they kids or unemployed people or whatever.  But his point was he is getting known by more people and while in one sense he loses the payment on a song not bought he never would have got that sale anyway and his overall sales have increased at minimal cost to himself, perhaps a bit of bandwidth for the downloads.

The statistics that the RIAA and others like them use are somewhat rubbery at best and also it seems quite out of date.

I've been using listit for a couple of weeks now, sits down in the status bar out of the way and is great for those urls you want to look at later and stuff like that.  It also has a facility to sync with their server and back to another computer you have, which is good, tho it isnt automated at this stage as far as i can tell, but it does work ok if you remember to ask it to do it.

General Software Discussion / Re: The Worst Downloads of 2008 (CNET)
« Last post by Grorgy on January 22, 2009, 07:40 PM »
ahhh well to make the list you had to, to quote from the cnet article
To qualify, these downloads have to meet the minimum requirements specified by Download.com in our software policies. That excludes all spyware, adware, and rogue software--which disqualifies public enemy No. 1, the notoriously annoying Antivirus XP 2008 and its many variants, which continue to plague Google ads.
