Coding Snack Guidelines / Re: CODERS: READ IN and POST HERE
« Last post by chr15 on May 15, 2005, 10:57 PM »
Hi,

I have been known to code in many [High / Low / Script]  [level / based] programming languages,
for assorted types of projects both large and small, independant and team based development
environments.

Below I have listed my preferred languages for different types of applications, I am quite fortunate
that I have a broad range of experience on many languages, which gives me the luxury of choosing
the best language for the task.

For win32 GUI/console applications my preferred programming language of choice is Delphi.

For dos (16bit) applications my preferred programming language of choice is Pascal/C.

For linux console/CGI applications my preferred programming language of choice is C.

For web based script languages applications my preferred scripting language of choice is PHP.

Preferred Relational Database Management System is Oracle/mySQL.

I prefer to design, resolve problems and then program the application.

Because my free times is fairly limited, I tend to pick and choose what I do.

ps If you feel stressed, and just walk away for five minutes by the time you get back to your
desk, the stress would have subsided, and you are refreshed and ready for the new challenge :)

Scott,

I just created a little 59 line C app to do this :)

Where would you like the App or source to be sent.

Mouser: if this is the first project ;) then I have a working solution for the competion.
