Ah.. I have quite fond memories of Wilhelma, especially their botanic gardens.

I take the same approach as app103. Sometimes I install but disable extensions for later use.

Disputes take ages to handle in paypal, until then Cody will have eaten the coin.

From FIDO-net,(...) to DonationCoder

Ha! Excellent another one with FIDO experience! Welcome to Donationcoder, let's bring sanity to the internets!  :D

31
It's totally awesome to see how these donations kept coming in. It didn't feel like the 'trickle' that was mentioned before; of course it wasn't the high volume of donations of the first few days, but I'd still call it a 'steady stream'.

mouser: can you prepare a graph that shows sum of donations per day and other such statistics?

Now THAT was quite interesting! I shall remember

This one supports key exchange, right?

The documentation mentions /blowkeyx, however, the More detailed installation instructions from meewbies.com mentions version 0.1.0 and lack of support for key exchange.

...and just as I write this, I see it in the other announcement here on doco:

dh1080 key exchange (since 0.2.0)

I guess it is time to secure my chattings again! :)

Secretly I want samsung to have made this mistake. It would remind people to not blindly trust companies just because they put shiny stickers on a device.

If "THEY" are being secretive they must have a sinister motive.

But given the snaky oiliness of "computer security" products, the false positive still sounds like very possible explanation.
35
I was totally believing those allegations, but now I have doubts. Guess, I'll have to remember to be much more careful about stuff written on the internets.

And yeah, Doco seems to be a much more reliable and trustworthy source of information :)

fun_razor.c:993 in function get_rich() fund_alloc() temporary money counter overflow: ETOOMUCHCASH

or something like that. I haven't programmed c in a VERY long time.

The mugs are very good. I happen to own a few ultra-rare superlimited items of the "c-base special edition".

If you are in Berlin, Germany, and willing to show some appreciation for both Donationcoder and c-base, I think we could arrange for a transfer of one of these high-value collector's items :D

The mugs are also very large, which is perfect for heavy tea drinkers (guzzlers) like me; will work for coffee as well.

i think a deck of CodyCards should accompany baby cody on all his journeys so he can teach his new friends to play wherever he travels.

I like that idea!

Living Room / c-base logo animation in public place
« Last post by housetier on March 30, 2011, 08:30 AM »

A member of c-base recently took footage from a public place, Alexanderplatz, in Berlin and rendered a 3D animation of our club's logo on top of the world time clock, which is sadly not on the map...

It's quite cool because people seem to look at the twisting logo :)

I have heard of studies showing the placebo medicine works even when the subject KNOWS it is a placebo. I'll try to find those; but I have a lot of feeds related to science...

Well "many sites" might exaggerate: some sites that I frequent do sport this banner.

There is a ... "movement", if you will, to promote better JS documentation. I have seen this banner on sites such as thechangelog.com.

So far I have no recollection of receiving wrong information from w3schools. But they have also never been my only source of information. For ze Germans there is the superb and unmatched SELFHTML, which seems a little outdated:
SELFHTML: Version 8.1.2 vom 01.03.2007
Selfhtml has examples for virtually everything, and it's all hyperlinked. For many this is the one-stop reference work.

I tend to use w3schools less and less these days for two reasons: bad press from many opensource sites that employ the banner you see above; and because I do less and less web stuff (and I feel great about it!)
