Image Manager Shootout / Re: Thanks Nudone, great review!

Yes, great work. It must have been a huge effort....
One thing about "RAW format" - this must be a real nightmare for small software producers... not only do all the camera firms have their own proprietary RAW format, but also this format changes from camera to camera within a brand....

Thanks for the helpful suggestions, Mouser.  Plenty of memory. I chose re-build preferences when I did a complete re-install.

Seems to have been one of those strange problems that cure themselves, eventually. I was closing and rebooting with Photoshop in minimized state. I tried the same with it fully open and that seemed to fix it, for now...... Odd!

Restored to Zen-like calm :)

Thanks, I forgot about Adobes' own forum. I'll send support an email, as well - you never know, they might reply.  I posted this here in exasperation.... I hope it's not bad form....

Living Room / Can anyone help me make sense of this?

After saving a BMP file Photoshop CS crashed on me. Wouldn't close with task manager so closed down Windows XP and booted up again. Photoshop opens but will not close! Installed Photoshop over the top of existing installation - same problem. Uninstalled Photoshop and reinstalled - same problem....  Other symptoms are - Not possible to move toolbox or palettes (ghosted area at top) -  Toolbox icons changes tools, but nothing works.

All suggestions gratefully received!

Image Manager Shootout / Re: Future Review (not this week): Graphics Viewers
« Last post by Miles on July 04, 2005, 02:42 PM »
Although it's primarily a printing program, you might like to have a look at Qimage: http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage/  I tend to use it as my graphics viewer because I'm usually viewing stuff prior to printing. I also use it for most routine editing, I only open up Photoshop for really serious edits and manipulations. Certainly, it's software produced and supported in a way which would be appreciated on this forum.

I had a "wake up call" this week. Thought my hard drive had crashed, but luckily it was just a connector that had worked loose.... phew

Are there any plans to review website building software in the near future? It's something I, for one, would appreciate. Dreamweaver is more than I need, but there are so many lower cost apps that I don't know where to start.....

The other input device that I use, in conjunction with the N52, is the CadMan: http://www.3dconnexion.com/products.htm

Interesting, think I'll investigate this - thanks.

I use a Belkin N52 speedpad for macros/shortcuts with MCAD etc.

Here's a more conventional type:
